Faint positive on Sainsbury's test - could it be a falsie?

Hello!

This is my first post on Mumsnet after lots of lurking, so hello! Just hoping to get some opinions on a test...

Yesterday I was 10dpo and decided to test. I woke up at about 5am desperate for a wee so did the test half asleep, barely looked at it, decided it was negative and went back to sleep. Was pretty convinced I wasn't PG as have pre-AF symptoms.

Checked the test again this morning (because why not) and there's a faint line. I KNOW Sainsbury's tests are NOTORIOUS for giving false positives, but in all the examples I can find the false positive lines are thin and to the side... this is wide and blueish right? Am I in with a shot? Or can evaps be like this too? I guess I should just go and buy more tests...

Thanks in advance for indulging my insanity!

Squidlady x

There's a good chance it's an evaporation line.

Blue dye tests are terrible, particularly the +/- ones and you read it way after the time limit so it's about as useful as a twig you've weed on right now!

Test again and read it in the time frame. Good luck Smile

I would just go and buy another test tbh x
Good luck xx

Read the instructions. It will surely say to disregard a line outside of a certain time frame.

Thanks folks... I guess I just thought evaps didn't look like that as have had them before... I'll get a new test and do it with FMU tomorrow Smile

And the result is........?

The witch came in full force yesterday - bloody Sainsbury's and their false hope! Shouldn't have checked after the time window though...

I'm sorry to read that, I was actually hoping you got a BFP and was going to tell me to shut my sarcastic cakehole!! I would have deserved that.

It will happen, you'll get your BFP xx
