Trying for our second , not for that long but I was convinced I was pregnant this time
All the classic symptoms

Backache
Nausea
Bloating
Mood swings
Bad skin

Then my period decides to show up 3 days early - which is unusual normally 20th each month

I was so certain this time

Just feeling sad

I can’t recommend the Calm app enough. After about 3/4 menstrual cycles it “knows” you and predicts well when you’re ovulating as well as providing a good reference point for sense checking if feeling what you’re feeling is likely to be AF or other.

I thought this month may be the month but I knew by the 20th it wouldn’t be. And today, bang on, as predicted.

It’s also good for those with irregular periods too, it tracks you by your symptoms as opposed to your periods IYSWIM?

*jesus I meant the CLUE app!

Thanks for the support - feeling better about it finally -
Now the waiting game again
None of the symptoms so far this time
Clue suggests AF will arrive 17th so we shall see

Good luck to you all too Daffodil

Nice to see so many other ladies trying for their second. The disappointment is heartbreaking - it's the frustration of having to wait for weeks before you can even try. I'm planning to test tomorrow, ahead of AF on Saturday, but my gut says not this month as my cycle was a bit out of sync
I think the best way to cope is to buy some really nice wine and enjoy the fact that not being pregnant means you can drink it!

Wow no one could have prepared me for the combination of PMT with BFN. I'm a complete basket case!

RMarieClaire · 10/07/2020 08:32

Same here @IzziC - it is so deflating. We've only just started trying and with DD it took 6months, but that doesn't mean getting a BFN this morning was any easier

Tested early

  • I think I have a very faint positive ....

Calm self

That's wonderful @123feraverto. Congratulations! I always think if you see anything that's a good sign - BFNs are so very stark! How many DPO are you?

Our first dc was conceived in the first month of not actively trying but the second one took 4 months of actively trying and I mean actively, opks the lot! I think with sleep deprivation and struggling to find the time to dtd the second one can take longer!

Yesterdayforgotten · 21/07/2020 16:03

Yes I agree with a pp always treat yourself if af arrives. Wine/drinks and chocolate and hot bubble baths.
