Antihistamines and TTC

I've just read that antihistamines can have an impact on fertility. Does anyone have any experience with this? The NHS website suggests that there aren't any conclusive studies on it and doesn't explicitly advise against taking them while TTC but I obviously don't want to do anything that could jeopardise it. I've been taking loratadine for hayfever (which the NHS says is the safest to use during pregnancy) and had no idea it might impact conception.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Eye drops etc don't work for me so do I just accept I'm going to have to suffer until the pollen levels drop?!

I spent a total of 3 years TTC. I honestly don't believe in living like you're pregnant until you are. If your hayfever is bad, take the drugs. No point in suffering if you don't have to.

Keep in mind all those people who get pregnant when not trying or after a drink night out.

I'm pregnant and suffer from hay fever and I take cetirizine hydrochloride which I've been told is safe in pregnancy. I was taking antihistamines when I discovered I was pregnant.
Its the new antihistamines that you are not supposed to take.

I took loratadine while ttc, pregnant and breastfeeding. GP said it was fine to have the over the counter ones.

There’s evidence to suggest that they may reduce the amount of cm you produce. I suppose it’s down to your own symptoms. If your allergies are are that bad, it’s just not worth it. After all, many people who take antihistamines still get pregnant. I have taken them everyday for years due to varying allergies and have stopped since TTC and I realised I hardly even need them!
