Hi all,

My first post! I'm planning on coming off the pill at the end of June to TTC #1 for the first time. Very excited but also incredibly scared and anxious. I'm keen to track my ovulation as I've been on contraception for the past 10 years. I've read a few threads about using the cheap kits... how cheap is too cheap!? A company called Lorenlli sell them on amazon for 1p each! Has anyone had any luck with something this cheap or would you recommend a branded product?

Thanks

Hello,

Also going to start TTC this month for #1!
I've came off my contraception and had an appointment with my GP who gave me some advice.
They told me that we should DTD every 2nd day. They said to not do it every single day as sperm can stay inside you for a few days anyway.
Also, easier said than done, but try not too worry and enjoy it as worrying so much can have a negative effect.
I spoke about ovulation kits and they had said we can use them but best idea just now is just to get at it every few days and keep at it 😂 needless to say my husband was thrilled with the advice!

Hope this helps and good luck! Xx

Also watching this thread as I came off the pill last week and we are TTC over the next few months! I'm also a strange mix of anxious and excited ConfusedGrin

I've just bought an ovulation kit on Amazon- not sure if it's the "best" one or anything but it'll do for now! I'm trying to just go with the flow but .... not easy is it?! I never planned on TTC during a pandemic! 🙈Sad

@RoxyMcRoxFace hey 😊 the most you'll here about on here are the OneStep/Femometer/Easy@home branded ones you get about 50 for £10.

Test with them a couple times a day between 12-10pm as apparently that's when LH is most likely to surge, after holding your wee for a couple of hours.

If you want something digital then the CB digital ones but they are super pricey (and annoying with all the flashy smilies).

Good luck 🥰 x

@LouJ85 definitely not easy but I'm going to try my hardest to do the same and go with the flow and try and enjoy it.
I'm trying to tell myself that this is the time when itll only be me and my husband so that's still precious time but like you, had never planned on TTC during a pandemic! I've got to the stage now when I'm like, I dont want to keep putting it off 🙈

Thanks everyone. I've gone for the femometer ones, I like that it has an app to help read the results! Good luck to you guys x
