@MichT4 oooh I'm definitely trying this! Thank you so much 😊 I think my hormones are just out of sorts since the MC and it's affecting my sleep. This sounds like it will kill two birds with one stone! Xx

@chloedancer897 I got inspired after our last chat and been calling around to get quotes to be seen privately-all come in at around £1000-£1500 😳 the last hospital I just talked to said £250 for a zoom call and then £300 for semen analysis, £500 for egg reserve and something else (didnt Remember) and all other tests are on top and it depends on where the consultant refers me to. Wow that's a lot. How come your consultant managed to refer you back to the NHS? That's so lucky. In which part of England roughly do you live? Tempted to try my luck and see if anything is covered on my private insurance but I highly doubt it 🙁

@Rainbowhope11 I used to be terrible at sleeping, here's what's helped me! Magnesium tablets, magnesium spray, Epsom salt baths, lavender on my pillow, falling asleep to white noise/a podcast!

Hi ladies! Hope you are all well and don’t mind me jumping on this thread... I just have a question about how long you waited before TTC (trying to conceive) after miscarriage. Did you wait until you had your first period at least? I am really keen to start trying again but my body isn’t there yet as I only miscarried very recently (had mva procedure done last Monday). I’m just not sure when to start trying to track ovulation etc - I know obviously it would be a lot easier to do if I waited until after my period. I’m just curious about what other ladies decided to do, I think it’s probably a very individual decision I’m just trying to listen to my body as best I can 🤞🏼.
Also forgot to add... is it only possible to ovulate once HCG levels have reached 0 or an undetectable level? I’m presuming I won’t ovulate at least until I have had a negative pregnancy test?

@Northernsoul90 Hi, I just found out I'm pregnant in my first cycle after my MC.. I think they used to advise to wait 3 months but not any more as some studies have shown no benefit in waiting. To be honest I thought you had to have at least one period before you would ovulate again but not so in my case. I was fortunate- my HCG dropped to zero in 2 weeks despite being over 9 weeks along when I miscarried. That probably did help as I think I ovulated just 3 or 4 days later. I wasmt sure if i wamted to try again so soon but i also thought due to other fertitily issues that i couldnt afford to skip a month. It's hard either way as now I feel nearly guilty for getting pregnant again so quickly, but i know i would have also been devastated to see a BFN. Sending lots of love ❤

@Northernsoul90 welcome! I started trying straight after the bleeding had stopped. I used opk test strips and then DTD around my fertile window. I got pregnant again straight away but unfortunately had another mc. It’s really all down to when you are ready. I believe your hcg has to be showing negative on a pregnancy test for your body to start the cycle again. Sorry for you loss and fingers crossed

@Rainbowhope11 I always use guided sleep meditation on youtube to help me sleep it really helps me nod off quickly xx

@Northernsoul90 hi so sorry to hear off your recent loss I personally started tracking my ovulation a few days after my bleeding stopped gave me something to focus on I guess although I absolutely hated the little flashy face on clear blues with a passion 🤣 but I got caught straight away and currently 9 weeks pregnant xxx

@Northernsoul90 as a lot of other ladies have said I started ttc as soon as bleeding after my surgery had stopped, from what I understand the level of hcg isn't really important for ovulation it may just been a sign of retained products if it goes on too long. Your body doesn't think it's pregnant just because your hcg isn't completely flushed out, i ovulated about 2 weeks after my surgery and was still getting a very faint positive test. it is different for other people as my cycle has gone back to exactly what it was before whereas others have had changes. As you said do what feels best for you and your body xx

@VP91x Well im starting CB tomorrow which means you will be ending, seems to be the way we work 🙌🏾. I came down today and said to OH ooh my strip actually looks quite dark, he replied 'yeah it always does that straight after your period and then goes blank for like a week before ovulation' checked back on my app and was like 'damn how do you know more than I do' the student has become the master 😂😂😂

Hi @VP91x just seen the post thank you!! And thank you everyone else for your replies....It really helps hearing from others who have been through similar. I am still bleeding atm but it’s very dark in colour and more like spotting I would say. I did a pregnancy test on Monday which was one week post mva and I got a pretty strong positive still. Think I may start tracking once the bleeding stops completely maybe, I have previously used the clear blue OPKs but I agree @Tink20058 the flashing smileys drive me insane 😂. Congrats on your pregnancy! I’m thinking of just buying some cheap ones until after my first period as I’ve no idea where I currently am in my cycle and they are pricey. Thats good to know @SmileyT I had presumed I would need to see a negative test before ovulation would happen.
