What’s the latest DPO did you get your positive

Hi everyone, after trying to conceive for over 9 months I finally had a big fat positive.

Anybody else tested so far away from their period?

Here’s a little brief story!

Last period 15-17th May, I only ever bleed for 3 days at a time.

My ovulation day was 26th May

Started having some bizzare symptoms from 10DPO but I was still 10 days away from having my period? My symptoms were ... dry metallic mouth, nose bleeds, thigh and hip pain, sore breasts!

If you were 10 DPO I don’t understand how you could be 10 days away from having a period? Your period will always come 14 days after ovulation. The date of ovulation can change each month but period will arrive 14 days after whenever you ovulate.

@Littlepoppet1 some people have shorter or longer luteal phases. Mine is usually long at around 20-25 days.

It’s not exactly 14 days for everyone! Everyone is different, cycles are different, ovulation is different.

Yes that’s right :) just hoping to find someone who have experienced the same

@Hay101Mo it's definitely possible. Do another test in a few days if you want to be 100%! As I said my luteal phase is long and in previous years, before I managed to regulate my cycle, period never showed so I was 6 weeks before I realised I was pregnant but in hindsight I had all the symptoms, I just thought AF was taking her time! Congratulations on your BFP!

I’m going through similar just now after a chemical last month, CD38 but technically only 2 days late according to apps. Never really got a positive OPK this month so not sure if I’ve just ovulated much later than normal. I’ve not had a positive though, only a vvvvf squinting shadow on a cheapy which I think isn’t really there...

I didnt get a +hpt till af was 7 days late with dd2!

@Hay101Mo im intrigued by your thigh and hip pain...currently 9dpo and have had a strange stinging pain on my inner left thigh and around in the latter part of the day. Thought it was the seam of my jeans irritating my skin but still there when i changed!!
