Is this OPK positive enough?

Hi ladies. I’ve just taken my first OPK and I’m wondering if this line is positive enough to result in pregnancy? We had DTD an hour before I took this. This is cycle 1 for us, so I’m quite new. Thank you!

@kalecat how many days into your cycle are you? I would take another one this pm at 2 say and another tomorrow and compare. If you are in fertile week (if you are following an app) I would keep DTD everyday/ everyother day

I’m no expert on OPKs but I think the line has to be as dark or darker than the control line. Also it’s recommended to test a couple of times a day. Sorry I can’t be of more help!

My app says I should ovulate this Thursday, however my cycle was slightly thrown off this month. I typically have a 27 day cycle but it was 29 this month, so I think that’s why I’m ovulating earlier than my app is predicting.

No that’s not positive. The test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line. What CD are you on? Keep testing the surge can come and go very quickly so I would be doing 2 a day once your line starts getting stronger.

Ahh, that is very helpful - thank you! I wonder if it is just a light line because it was taken @ 1am. I’m on CD 12.

Ok so if you usually have a 29 day cycle you should ov on or around day 15. Keep testing the next couple of days. Do one this afternoon after not going for a few hours and then another this evening the same, hopefully you’ll see some progression! Once you get a positive you should ov within 24 hours. Keep up with DTD the next few days anyway and you should be fine even if you miss your surge.

@littlepoppet1 my cycle is always 27 days, but only for this month it was 29 for some reason. Thanks for the input! I will pick up a couple more 😊
