Hello,

Wondering if anyone has/has had the same issue as me. Im 31yrs old, was on Rigevidon/Microgynon for 12 years. Stopped taking it in March to TTC. Now 90 days after withdrawal bleed with no sign of a period.

I have a telephone GP appointment on Wednesday but not even sure what I should be asking them to check?! I'm hoping they dont just fob me off and say wait longer...

Hi Smile I was in a similar position, on microgynon for 11 years. I think my first cycle was 80 days, I had been going to see GP if period didn't arrive within the next week. I think it's pretty normal to take up to 6 months to regulate but I'm sure the general advice is if you haven't had a period within 3 months it's definitely worth pushing for blood tests to check various hormone levels so they can see what's going on. My cycles were all over the place for months unfortunately but I've seen posts from people that return to a fairly normal cycle after their first eventual bleed so fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for replying @bluebell94 - good to hear someone else has experienced something similar! I have seen online the "can take 6mo to regulate" but always thought that meant 6mo to get into a routine, not months and months to even show up! I'll ask for some hormonal investigations Smile

I stopped taking the mini pill about 4 weeks ago and nothing as yet not even a withdrawal bleed! Really annoying as when I was taking it I'd only have to miss a day to start spotting! Hoping AF visits soon as want to try and track my cycle x

Hi @maria1984m - 1 month is dead normal, as the above poster said the NHS quotes 3-6 months as being within the realms of normality! I'm just getting concerned as 3 months in NOTHING is happening. Fingers crossed AF comes for you soon
