Anyone else DTD few days before ov?! 2WW

DTD with my partner on Saturday which makes it cycle day 13 for me. I ovulate around cycle day 15/16. So today or tomorrow. I can’t DTD today so I have to stick with my partners swimmers from Saturday. Wondering if I’m still in with a chance this month 😕I know it takes hours for egg to be released and sperm live for a few days but I’m still thinking I’m out. Anyone else in the same boat as me?

Hey! Welcome @rosiejgee so how many days past ovulation are you? I guess you have a short cycle! Depending on how many dpo you are you could’ve experienced implantation!

Lmao I just asked that, you’re the same as me I am 6dpo but I’m not due af until 30th. It may still be too early but it’s not impossible for it to implant on 5dpo.. when are you going to test? @

@Leobaby yes from reading these I think I must have a short cycle!! Last cycle I was CONVINCED I was (light spotting at 8DPO, boobs killing me), managed to wait 9 DPO and got a BFN, then same happened again next day.. then I think AF day came a bit early 😪 so didn't test again! That cycle was a bit hit and miss tbf because it was our first month TTC! And that cycle we DTD the day after ovulation. I was FAR more organised this cycle!! So we are both 6DPO... how are you feeling?? 😍

To be honest I've been reading a lot of these threads and found out about chemical pregnancies, which I didn't previously know about. Looks so disheartening and sad 😔 so I think the earliest I'll test is the day before AF is due (if I can't hold out until I get a no show!!) how about you? x

@Leobaby unfortunately not confirmed so it's possible that I didn't ovulate at all 😬 but I had about 4/5 days of really strong ovulation type symptoms which peaked on the 18th so its my best guess lol. I had a crazy amount of CM for 4 days when normally its 2 max and a really really high sex drive for 5 days when normal its only higher than normal for a day or so and really strong ovulation pains. I'm hoping it's a good sign after last month but who knows. How are you feeling?

@rosiejgee yes after a few cycles of TTC you will start to understand your body more and your cycles! And that’s good hopefully it’s your lucky month! I’m fine tbh, except for I eat everything in sight!! Constantly starving - not hungry - STARVING 😂😂 we’ll see. Last cycle I had cramps and gas and everything which led to bfn. But I find the more symptoms I have the more likely it is for me to get a bfn, when I’ve conceived previously (didn’t continue with pregnancy as was vvv young and also had HG) I had no symptoms at all, so for me the less symptoms I have the more likely I’ll be pregnant. Sore boobs was it for me then obviously the sickness after a bfp. So wait and see really! Yes I think chemical pregnancies are very common it seems like. I will be testing only when af is late. I hate testing early to have a bfn. I have lots of cheapies that pick up 25MIU so if I do really want to test I’ll use those. But I’ve got a couple of frer that I will use if I’m late. 💕

@Csari although it wasn’t confirmed with tests that actually sounds pretty good?! I don’t went to get your hopes up of course but if you’re saying you had lots more cm and your sex drive was high then that does seem really positive?! Especially if you are more fertile after pregnancy?! Omg fingers crossed for you!! But overall I’m good, which for me is positive! Still only 6dpo tho.. got a while to go lol. My pms boobs will start to hurt around 9 days before af, it was CD22 for me last month, I’m CD21 now, no sign of sore boobs!

Been lurking for a little while. We are not ttc but just seeing what happens. I'm 6po, dtd a couple days before, and have had really sore boobs for the last couple of days which is unusual at this point in my cycle. Af due in about 9 days. Should I just wait until then to test? All very new to this!

@fridpix haha love it! Well as it’s unusual for you it could be a good sign. If you want to test I’d say wait until a day before af is due!

Hey ladies, I’m completely baffled. Don’t ask me why but I did a test just now, only 8dpo as of midnight. But a faint line has come up? I don’t believe it, I think it’s false so I will repeat the test in the morning with a frer.

@rosiejgee deffo not an evap, in person there is colour, came up within time frame! I dunno, obvs I tested this morning and there was no line at all - nearly cried lmao. I have backache now along with my sore boobs & I’ve been tired for a few days nothing more than that really. But yes my boobs started hurting a lot yesterday at 7dpo which made me test as a joke 😂🙄 now I’ve messed with my head so nice joke 😂😩☹️

@Leobaby how frustrating! It still sounds really positive though, how are you feeling now?

I'm about 4/5 dpo and nothing except heartburn for me.

@Csari I’m not sure. It might’ve just been a fluke tbh. I’m okay, very sore boobs & backache. Tired and I’m still starving all the time but I’m use to the feeling now lol. I’ve had a lot of cm since I’ve ov’d but I’m still 8dpo so could dry up at some point.
Is heartburn a positive sign for you? Is it something you normally experience?

@rosiejgee I've think this is my 7th cycle TTC. Last month was the first that I had times DTD around ovulation and turns out I ovulated about CD11, I was DTD around CD14 and missing the mark obviously lol. I got a BFP last month which ended in an early loss at around 5 weeks but trying again this month and currently about 5 Dpo I think (I ran out of tests as I ovulated really late for me). How about you?

@Leobaby its not something I normally get tbh. I had it last month a bit too and obviously was pregnant but it could be a coincidence. I've been eating loads of passion fruit and its quite acidic so probably that or work stress lol.

I'll still be keeping my fingers crossed, you have a really good chance this month with timing and everything :)

@Csari sorry to hear you had a loss 😔 always so disheartening but glad your still trying!! 🤞🤞 this is my second cycle TTC but not hopeful ive had nothing apart from sore boobs! I think if I get nothing this month I might trying ovulation strips to check my app is accurate!

I’m 10dpo think I’ve had another bbt dip but I’m not sure if I’m doing it all right and if it’s accurate to be honest lol. Feel nauseous today but I’m not looking into it. I really feel like I’m out this month! Ah well cocktails tomorrow it is 🥂🍸
