I take the pill, am very careful about it. Last had a withdrawal bleed that finished 11 days ago and have been taking the pills as normal since. Only thing is, my breasts are killing. They never stopped hurting during the withdrawal bleed and if anything are more tender as the days go on. Even kept me awake last night when I turned onto my front. I'm still quite a way (10-11 days) from next break.

I already have two DC and my main early symptom was very sore breasts, but I had other stuff too - period type cramping and a particularly hormonal smell. I don't have these.

I feel reluctant to test (would have to go to docs in my country) as if you have had a withdrawal bleed you can't be pregnant can you? I've only ever had sore breasts in the run up to a period or when pregnant before so I don't have an explanation as to why they could be sore now. I'm hoping somebody else does though...

Pill isn’t a real period.

Plus I had a short “period” with my successful pregnancy that must’ve been implantation bleeding.

Get a test.

thanks LividLaughLovely - it was quite a long withdrawal bleed...but yeah you're right I should get a test. Argh nothing I need less right now than an unexpected third...

I bled for the whole first trimester with my first pregnancy

Mine were Incredibly sore last month - could hardly wear a bra and that lasted over a week. I definitely wasn't pregnant as I don't have any tubes left.

Fast forward to this month - boobs feel Completely normal, and just got a BFP test following IVF last week

ivfgottostaypositive congratulations on your BFP.

No advice but what country are you in that no hpts are sold Shock

Ploughingthrough · 15/06/2020 06:48

They are normally in the small pharmacies , but because of covid the small pharmacies are closed. Covid measure are still quite strict here so just for now you have to go to a GP or wait another couple of weeks!

Peri-menopause?

ScottishStottie · 15/06/2020 06:54

Surely you could order a test online?

Ploughingthrough · 15/06/2020 06:55

yep, I suspect I can get to a GP quicker than I can get one delivered! I'll pop to the GP, rules it out if nothing else.

SiaPR I'm 34 so I think it's not so likely.

Have you put on weight in lockdown? Are you doing more or less exercise? Does your bra still fit? Optimistically it could be your body changing shape that is affecting your boobs hurting.

Ploughingthrough · 15/06/2020 07:01

Ullupullu No actually I've lost a lot of weight in the last 6 months. I do the same amount of exercise that I have done since I started losing weight. My bras are too large now, but again waiting for shops to open so I can get a proper fitting- perhaps this is contributing. Thank you!

Ullupullu · 15/06/2020 07:04

Ah-ha, perhaps you simply need better fitting bras! I hope you get the outcome you want.

Ploughingthrough · 15/06/2020 07:07

Thanks Ullupullu a badly fitting bra would be highly preferable to another child right now!!
