Hi everyone so long story short.
My partner and I have been trying to conceive since last year. I suffer with irregular periods so went to docs got bloods taken and everything was fine. Doc said my LH hormone ? Was at 23.1 and asked if over the weekend I had taken a period I said no but was spotting only the once.
Today I have been spotting brown to dark brown now red.
Doc did say to take a test in two weeks,

Is this normal?
Does this sound like early pregnancy?
It's my first time and don't have anyone to turn to ask keeping it a secret just want to know other people's thoughts. :) xxxx

Brown spotting again today. Took a clear blue and through it could see the faintest of lines but no point taking a pic you can't see it.

Advice please

Have you tried a frer as they're more sensitive than clear blue? X

I'm afraid none of your symptoms specifically sound like pregnancy. Spotting could be caused by a few things; an irregular period, implantation, ovulation, etc.

LH is the hormone that peaks shortly before ovulation. I'm guessing that is probably why the doctor suggested taking a pregnancy test in 2 weeks time. Under normal circumstances a period will arrive roughly 12-14 days after ovulation unless the person is pregnant, in which case that's often the point at which the person can take a pregnancy test.

When was the blood test done? Normally the earliest you could hope to test for pregnancy would be 10DPO (days post ovulation).

I would wait 48 hours then test with fmu you should have a stronger line then!
Wishing you the best of luck op keep me updated Smilex

Annie1211 · 17/06/2020 08:54

Omggg that is most defiantly a line!

I'd say that's positive congratulations!
I'd wait 2-3 days before doing a digital as they're less sensitive than frer, it takes 48-72 hours for hcg to double Smilex

Curiosity101 · 17/06/2020 21:20

Congratulations!

I do agree that it'd be best for you to wait until Friday or Saturday until retesting to ensure the levels have had a chance to increase.
