Ovulation pains?

Hi Smile
Looking for advise on ovulation pains! For the last three days I have had twinges both sides which have been enough to catch my breath and stop me in my tracks. Throughout the night and today I have had a niggling (toothache-like) pain in my right side most of the day and I have felt nauseous and just rough!
I am cd15, flo app says ovulation today which I'm taking with pinch of salt. TTC cycle 2, DTD every other day and I was on the pill with no AF for 5 years previous. It is probably just my body catching up but does anybody else feel rough around ovulation?

I wouldn't say I feel rough but I can definitely tell when I'm ovulating. I get between 4-6 periods a year and I always get a pain on my right side 2 weeks before I come on. (Never on my left which makes me think only one overy works). Ovulation pain for me is always worse than period pain.

Just to add, due to the irregularity of my periods and the pain I had (because all my friends looked at me like I was barmy when I mentioned this pain) I started doing ovulation strips long before we were ready to conceive. I always got a positive test with this pain which made me feel I wasn't going mad.

I had it after my first baby which allowed me to time it for my chosen sex of the next one. Strangely I didn't ever get it after the second one was born.

I always had ovulation pain, quite painful too but I gather not everybody does, varied side to side and sometimes needed a painkiller.

Thanks! The pains and rough feeling progressed through yesterday and now it's very obviously a water infection SadSad very strange day it never crossed my mind until it hurt to pee in the evening!
Still hoping for a BFP this month despite DTD being out of the question right now!

I get like a bloated full feeling for a day or two before ovulation, it feels like a sharp trapped wind type feeling and lasts a few days! Makes me not want to DTD which is counter productive 😂

SK2970 · 14/06/2020 06:57

@AnxiousAnnie86 that's what I had been hoping for but seems not Sad Bursting for a pee all the time if definitely counterproductive for TTC! It's obviously because been DTD more often!
Been up since 5am, getting pints of water down me! Really don't want to contact GP with everything going on so really hoping it will clear up quick so can get back to it!

Really glad I found this thread! I dont normally notice when I ovulate because up until a couple of months I didn't track anything.
I'm on CD16 today and for the last 24 hours I've had what I can only describe as stabbing pains over my left ovary. I assumed ovulation pains lasted a matter of hours but glad to see others have had the pain for days!
