Although we have been lucky enough to conceived I have still floated back on this board to see how people who helped me are getting on ( @Juno231 )

I thought I would post our ovulation sticks and BFP journey...

To put into context from that we are now due December 21st 😊

So according to the stick, my surge was the 31st - this means ovulation was within 36 hours of the March 31st. Therefore Ovulation was 31st March or 1st April...

That means I the first test could of of been 12DPO from the 31st March or 12DPO from the 1st April...

April 12 was "squint to find the line" and you can see the progress from there.. First digital positive wasn't until April 15th - So again 16 DPO from the 31st March or 15DPO from April 1st

HOWEVER - What we did learn was that the surge has a window of 36 hours (1.5 days) , the egg has a life span of 48 hours (1.5 + 2 = 3.5 days), sperm stay alive for 5-7 days (1.5 + 2 + 6 =6.5 days) .

Therefore implantation can take place anything from the day of ovulation to 6/7 days after ovulation which can mean a BFP much later on.

Now we have had our 12 week scan, our due date has been set for 1 day behind our LMP (Moved from Dec 20th to Dec 21st) so we know we implanted 1 day later than conception... Make sense?

@SWAttempting 👋🏻 I'd like to ask how many times you managed to do the deed during your fertile window the cycle you had success? Also how many cycles before it happened? Thanks for popping back to answer questions for us all still trying and hope you're pregnancy is coming along well 😃

We just aimed for every other day, or every third day if my OH was working lates or late lates! (he does shifts)

You think about it, if spem stay alive for 5 to 7 days then there are plenty of swimmers waiting for the 36 hour window if you get it in twice!

We had 2 cycles. Came off POP pill on Feb 14th (so had a non menstrual bleed) and then March 15th had a first menstrual bleed.

We used the conception vitamins for both genders!

Did you cut out any food groups?

@Flittingabout - Sorry for the late reply! - We are normally adventurous but we focused on missionary when climaxes were arriving as it give you chance to lay down and keep those swimmers in! :)

And no... I have a curry the night before and a take out the night of!
