Hello and welcome!

I kinda wanted to make my own thread as I've been itching to POAS at only 7dpo 😒 I know I know... ridiculous right?

So need you lovely ladies to join in and keep each other distracted, share your experience, have a giggle/cry together and most importantly have each others support during BFNs and BFPs.

Please feel free to jot down your cycle/dpo info and when your AF is due so we can all keep a track of where we are!

This is also a thread where you are free to post any thoughts, poems, pictures, recipes, dreams and aspirations, the good the bad and the ugly 😝

As always stay safe and baby dust to you all!

Caramel x

@Itisme90 I know my period is probably just late due to stress. So I wish it would just move it lol. I have tried both the amazon one step opks and the clear blue ones. Honestly I prefer the amazon ones I have had a false positive with the clear blue. With the amazon ones you can see a progression on them before they peak so you know you are getting closer.

hannah88j · 24/06/2020 09:33

It must be a chemical for me too 😢💔 has positive FRER's on 7dpo and 8dpo and nothing since. Now AF is one day late and tested this morning with a BFN so AF must be on her way. Hopefully all of us will have better luck in July 🤞🏻🤞🏻

NatJayne87 · 24/06/2020 10:01

So i think i might be out of this one! I always get sore boobs from the moment i ovulate until about 10/12 dpo today is 10 dpo and my boobs feel less sensitive today so my progesterone levels are on the decline it would seem. I used to test loads in past cycles until i realised my boobs stop hurting so now i dont event think about testing until im past when my boobs stop being sore, I've definitely found it a less stressful way of monitoring and then i dont seem to get the same level of dissapointment i do when i get a negative test. So now i will wait for aunt flo and try again next month xx

Itisme90 · 24/06/2020 10:29

@hannah88j sorry to hear that I have definitely had a chemical I have woke up this morning with really heavy bleeding and massive clots sorry tmi it’s just upsetting after getting 2 bfps and getting my hopes up

Elou26 · 24/06/2020 10:41

@Itisme90 I also woke up to a heavy bleed this morning. Hopefully we are lucky next month 🤞🏻

hannah88j · 24/06/2020 16:18

@Itisme90 still no AF for me but I'm hoping it will be on its way soon. I just want to get onto the next cycle now and start trying again. So sorry to hear you had a chemical as well. That AF sounds horrific - such a kick in the teeth isn't it. Sending you lots of love xx

Itisme90 · 24/06/2020 16:27

@Elou26 @hannah88j thanks ladies I really hope next month is our mouth this AF is by far the worst I have had the cramps are so bad can’t wait till it’s all away and I can start again

Lauraistryingtoconceive · 29/06/2020 21:55

Hi ladies, I can see this thread has been going a while but do you mind a new joiner? I am in the TWW, on ovulation day 8 today, I'm already doing tests which I know I shouldn't and I thought I could see a faint line this morning but it could have been an indent. I used the brand Fermometer which I have read can be hit and miss. AF is expected on Sunday or Monday.
A bit about me, I am trying for my first baby and me and my husband are on our 3rd month of TTC. I have PCOS although my cycles are very regular (period starts every 29th day) and I seem to be ovulating every month. I do have a referral to an endocrinologist coming in the post, to check out my PCOS as it's only just been diagnosed.
Anyway, I can see the benefit of being in a group like this as you all seem to support each other and sometimes i feel that I can't talk to my hubbie about the TWW and testing and symptoms etc. He'd think I was mad! Hoping to find some friendship and support.

2020mission · 29/06/2020 22:15

Welcome @Lauraistryingtoconceive, this thread has been quiet lately so good to have someone new join and bring it back to life 😃

I'm trying for my first baby too. I'm on cycle 5 and just starting the 2WW so I'm a week behind you for testing, what a long wait it always is! Fingers crossed for you.

Are you doing anything in particular to help with TTC? I was just going with DTD according to app estimations in previous months and trying to just chill but this month I've started using OPKs, drinking grapefruit juice and seed cycling 😂 trying everything I can!

NatJayne87 · 30/06/2020 10:31

@2020mission i was just looking through the thread and didnt know if you'd had a response about your cycle length. They dont look too short to me, the main issues is if your luteal phase is less then 11 days. Im a 26 dayer and ovulate on day 12 pretty consistently making my luteal 14 days, you may be similar. The luteal phase never changes is length, if your cycle is longer or shorter its because you ovulated early or late. Good luck for this coming cycle x

2020mission · 30/06/2020 12:02

@NatJayne87 thanks, no one had replied. This is part of the reason why I started to use OPKs to see if I can get a better idea of when I ovulate. Looks like this month it's around CD 11-12 so if this is one of my shortest 24 day cycles, that leaves 12-13 minimum for the luteal phase. My average cycle length shows as 27 days, and that's years worth of period tracking so plenty of data there.

Will be interesting tracking with OPKs over a few months (although hopefully I won't have to and instead fall pregnant this cycle 😆)!

Lauraistryingtoconceive · 30/06/2020 12:42

Hey @2020mission, thanks for the reply! So happy to have a buddy for the TWW! It's such a long time isn't it!
The first two months we just relied on the Flo app, but last month I used OPKs. I have also started taking some vitamins - E and B6 (the latter regulates hormonal activity apparently). My husband has also started taking Zinc which the Doctor told him helps make sperm stronger!
I'm trying not to stress or overthink anything, but it's easier said than done, especially when working from home, as I can Google symptoms to my heart's content! Grin
May I ask what seed cycling is?
Fingers crossed for your 5th cycle x

2020mission · 30/06/2020 12:50

@Lauraistryingtoconceive seed cycling is similar to what you're doing with the vitamins - an attempt to balance hormones! I've attached an image you can use to see which is best to take in the first and second half of your cycle if you're interested. I'm just sprinkling them in muesli, porridge, and some dinners. I'll need to check out those vitamins you're taking. I'm just taking folic acid and vitamin D every day right now and no others.

Hi ladies,

This thread has been going for a while and I've just read through every post - what an amazing group this is! So supportive. it's lovely to be on the journey together, hope you don't mind me joining? Smile

I'm 4dpo, due AF 9th July and desperate to test asap! Ordered CB and FRER to arrive tomorrow but thinking I'll start testing at the weekend, 8/9dpo if that isn't too soon?

Until I started TTC I had no idea that 2 weeks could feel like 2 years when waiting to test Confused

Lauraistryingtoconceive · 30/06/2020 21:56

@2020mission ah thank you - I'm going to have a proper read of this at the weekend! It looks like Vitamin E is in those seeds but interesting they only recommend taking those during the luteal phase.

Hi OliR93 - please do join us! Fingers crossed for you this month. I've read lots of people who get positive results at 8/9DPO.

I have started to get period pains, so had a bit of a downer today thinking it hasn't happened for me this month. I'm still getting a faint line on the cheap internet tests, but I think the line is possibly just always there as it's consistently the same very faint shade. Going to wait till Thursday, which will be 12DPO and test again with a different test.

OliR93 · 01/07/2020 08:10

@Lauraistryingtoconceive It is so disheartening when you get a BFN but at 10dpo it doesn't mean you're out just yet! Especially with the cheaper internet tests, as you said it's hard to tell if there is a faint line. Fingers crossed for you for Thursday Smile

I've been buying the CB digitals as thought they'd be most accurate but it's frustrating to not monitor the lines. I have a few cheapies in that I'll start testing with this weekend and I've ordered the others to use 10dpo onwards. I wish I could wait but as soon as I know there is a chance of finding out, it's too tempting!

So far I've used OPKs, the Clue app and been taking a supplement. Not sure if there is anything else I can be doing? I've stopped drinking too (apart from the day of AF arriving, need something to ease the pain).

@2020mission do you test early or are you waiting until AF is due?

Is anyone else back in the race for July? It's awful when AF arrives but wishing everyone luck for the new month Starx

Hopingtobelucky · 01/07/2020 19:31

@2020mission thanks for the seed cycling info, that's something I haven't tried yet so might buy some to tomorrow.

2020mission · 01/07/2020 19:35

@Hopingtobelucky no problem. Can't vouch for it yet as I've just started it this month but can't do any harm if it doesn't work! I always feel better when I'm trying something new each cycle as it makes me believe I have more of a chance 😆

Hopingtobelucky · 01/07/2020 19:41

Sent too soon....
today is my second day of flashing smiley face on the CB monitor so probably still a couple of days away from peak ovulation.
This month seems to be going faster than last month, trying not to get too focussed and just enjoy trying.
Good luck to everyone for this month x

Mich2020 · 02/07/2020 09:19

Second flashy smiley face for me too this morning, hoping for a static either tonight/tomorrow. Hope everyone else is well xx

Lauraistryingtoconceive · 02/07/2020 09:27

Morning ladies, tested again this morning and still getting a VERY faint line - it's not getting any darker. I've read loads about these cheap tests always having a faint line there (even with tap water!) So I'm not relying on it! AF is due Sunday so I'll keep you updated :)

@OliR93 what supplements are you taking?

@Hopingtobelucky I love your attitude - it's really easy to get bogged down in tracking dates and symptoms so Ill definitely try and take a leaf out of your book next month!!

OliR93 · 02/07/2020 12:42

@Lauraistryingtoconceive I'm taking pregnacare before conception, I was just taking folic acid but changed last month as wanted something to cover everything. This is probably tmi but all I've noticed so far is that it makes going to the loo fluorescent yellow! Blush

Does anyone else find themselves googling things they already know?! I can't stop myself looking at early symptoms and trying to figure out if I have any, looking at the likelihood of conception for my age and time scale for TTC etc. I've looked before so I don't know why I do it almost daily.

2020mission · 02/07/2020 17:52

@Lauraistryingtoconceive fingers crossed for you that your faint line gets stronger!

I'm quite confused today as I had a peak ovulation reading at CD 11 (5 days ago) but today had EWCM which should only be happening when you're in the fertile window and I must be passed that 😐

Lauraistryingtoconceive · 02/07/2020 18:11

Thank you 😊 oh that's strange, maybe get down to business tonight just in case?!

Hopingtobelucky · 02/07/2020 19:22

Got a static smily face on the clear blue ovulation test today, up until the last couple of months I'd just been using an app as a guide but the tests are showing that I ovulate sooner- today is only cycle day 12.
@Lauraistryingtoconceive fingers crossed the lines gets stronger, when are you testing again?
