@Skip86 you must be into your fertile week now?? Bouncing al over OH? Not sitting as a passenger on a long drive, sitting on him!!

Juno231 · 12/06/2020 14:54

@LV1987 wow that mix does sound stunning! I'm not gonna lie - I'm a bit sad that the Asian heritage will pretty much be non-detectable by the time my kids get half their DNA from OH. I also worry about how to instill so many home cultures to the kids as I want to share as much of it as possible!

@Sydgal22 I speak a few! Four fluently (Polish, French, Swedish and English) and I've studied German, Arabic and Italian at various stages of schooling and university but wouldn't be able to carry proper conversations in any of those! I am lucky though that my languages are across a good mix of Slavic, Romance and Germanic so it actually means I get by on most European holidays.

@Mococo1 I've got pregnacare him and her waiting in my amazon basket for CD1! Already using pre-seed and cut down on decaff so let's hope it all works soon enough.

Missgoldilocks · 12/06/2020 14:57

@Sydgal22 @Noble89 my sis is going through IVF at the moment and she was told a glass of wine or 2 doesn't hurt!

Missgoldilocks · 12/06/2020 15:00

@Juno231 wow and I thought I was mixed up lol! I grew up in England but my mums of Jewish/Irish blood and my dad was brought up in Italy by his Italian mother and had a Swiss French dad! My partner is mixed up too Irish/Jamaican/Costa Rican so our kids are gonna a wild mix lol!

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 15:01

@Sydgal22 when I went for my booking appointment before my cp the midwife told me it was perfectly safe to drink a couple of units every week even when pregnant!

Bear127 · 12/06/2020 15:05

@TheGirlWhoLived @Mococo1 Biggest congratulations to you both! 🎉💕

DKDK123 · 12/06/2020 15:29

Aww nice to see a few BFP creeping in as the day went on, fab news congratulations ladies! 🥳 This definitely seems like a lucky bus hope you're all sprinkling your luck onto next month for the rest of us!

TTCmummy2021 · 12/06/2020 15:34

Midwife rang back and was very nice. She said the bleeding is normal but to take aspirin due to previous losses and to test again in a few days. If the line is still there/getting stronger then ring EPU to get wifey booked in for a 5/6 week scan plus bloods to check levels and situation of baby....

I think I'm still in shock Shock x

TTCmummy2021 · 12/06/2020 15:35

@Juno231 - and I thought I spoke decent French (was an au pair) but you take it to a whole other level!!!

Juno231 · 12/06/2020 15:41

@ttcmummy2021 aaah that's good news! get on that aspirin and all my fingers and toes crossed for a sticky bean xx

@Missgoldilocks omg your kids will be stunning! It's making me hope we all end up in a closed BFP group somewhere and will one day see kiddy pics too!

LV1987 · 12/06/2020 15:42

Oh @Mococo1 don't, you're making me emotional 😭 is that a symptom?! I do love them to bits, and as much as me and their mum will never be the best of friends, I have a lot of respect for her as she has played a massive part in how wonderful they are. Obviously my OH has too but Girl Power!

@Juno231 they make me look pretty plain in family photos, I'm not going to lie. Their dad is also really photogenic with a colgate smile, so I look like the ugly duckling 😂😂 they are both bilingual, which I think will set them up fantastically for when they are older. We do face culture clashes at times, and my OH experienced this first hand when the eldest was born. It can be difficult making sure that they experience all elements of their heritage and culture but we get by, as I am sure you will 😘 it's certainly been an eye opener for me!

@missgoldilocks I am of Jewish descent too - my maternal nans parents were Jewish. My maternal Pop's family came here from Ireland, which is where we all assumed my reddish hair came from, but who really knows 😂 My OHs family are a proper Norfolk family, and have been in and around our home town since the 12th century.

I love hearing about where everyone is from, I'm so nosey (is that a symptom too 😂😂)

Cocoblue22 · 12/06/2020 16:02

@lucyrp it really is proper crap that you had to go through that Cp and I can totally understand how that would make you feel. Just don't give up yet. Great news on the braces! x

@blodyn91 yeah was on the pill for approx 2 years. It was first month off. I used the CB fertility monitor to track but it didn't pick up a peak so guessing I didn't ovulate but I was using sticks that were two years out of date also so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

blodyn91 · 12/06/2020 16:17

@Cocoblue22 I didn't track my first two cycles so just hoping I do. Definitely get some new sticks this time!

Also FW for us will start next weekend which was meant to be our wedding day, so for all you superstitious lot, maybe its a sign 😆🤞🐰 And I will be opening some Prosecco bottles #drinktillitspink

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 16:27

@Cocoblue22 I will try not to. Don't understand why I'm still feeling like crap and not bleeding yet😫 yesss x

Cocoblue22 · 12/06/2020 16:41

@lucyrp I have no idea why your AF hasn't arrived yet it does seem a bit odd but someone else said earlier didn't they that they normally have 30 day cycles and had a random 40 odd dayer so I guess sometimes maybe it just happens and if you weren't tracking you might not notice. Hopefully she will turn up soon so you at least can start the next cycle with us lot. Unless you didn't ovulate when you thought and it did what people said about trying to and then maybe tried again a few days later and it's pushed your cycle out of sync a little. Hoping you get your answer soon x

SarahTTC2020 · 12/06/2020 16:43

I love hearing everyone's nationalities / heritage too! Maybe because I am so boring 🤣 as English as they come (as far as I am aware) and DH is too, there is a strong ginger line and the surname is Anglo-Saxon although apparently of Scandinavian origin too (just googling 🤣)

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 16:43

@Cocoblue22 the way its going il probbsly end up missing a complete cycle 😫 its frustrating because I want to get on with buying things to help it along but I obviously can't incase it doesn't come and then I will have wasted money. It inevitably is going to but you just don't know do you x

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 17:12

So the doctors wasn't really that helpful at all. I explained what happened last cycle and what was happening this cycle even the negative test this morning but the doctor said she thinks I'm in the early stages of pregnancy and my best bet is to ring the midwife and ask for bloods. She said whether I want to wait a week to see what happens or not is up to me but that she thinks im pregnant🙄x

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 17:23

This is my squinter with the contrast filter on🤷🏼‍♀️ but why is it not progressing 😫

blodyn91 · 12/06/2020 17:28

@lucyrp you needs bloods, for your own sanity as well! Not fair feeling all anxious about it. Did you get hold of a midwife?

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 17:30

@blodyn91 I haven't rang them yet. I don't think I should 😬 i literally explained everything. All my symptoms. Faint line then a negative and she's just said "I think you're in the very early stages of pregnancy" great 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mococo1 · 12/06/2020 17:34

@lucyrp I know this is a dumb question but do you drink a lot of water?? I'm wondering if maybe your urine is too diluted for FMU (considering what happened to me this morning??) I defo see a squinter there so maybe you are just super early and maybe you ovulated later than expected but still caught? Really hope your bloods bring you good news xx

lucyrp · 12/06/2020 17:38

@Mococo1 not really not going to lie. I drink more tea and Diet Coke than anything 😬 my squinter was in the afternoon so maybe worth doing another test in a couple of days in the afternoon ? I don't know this is ridiculous. I asked her could I have ovulated later than I thought and she said she wouldn't have thought so as I used the clear blue digital OPKS. I'm not really wanting to ring the midwife 😬xx

Mococo1 · 12/06/2020 17:49

@lucyrp understandable as I can imagine it's a lot for you to ring them..why don't you just see if you can in a day or two - empty most liquid from your bladder in the morning then refrain from drinking anything for like 2 hours and see if you get darker urine then test with that? I think I held mine for 1.5hrs this morning and my pee was darker than FMU. It's worth a shot if you don't wana call the midwife eh?

SmileyT · 12/06/2020 17:50

@lucyrp definitely ring the midwife and get some bloods and then you'll know for certain and can try and relax either way otherwise you'll just drive yourself mad over the next week or so, at least if they detect hcg in your blood and it isn't progressing they can look into it for you. Sending you loads of love xx
