Little bit of background -

Girls, I think it’s happened. Has it happened?? 😳

I’m skeptical because the line looks fainter than it has done and the first picture I took was high. But then I got these two. What do you think?

See, I’ve lost faith in these sticks. Don’t know what to think!

@Chickoletta I agree with what @Hayleylou89 said thst maybr your HCG was higher because you were carrying twins. However, you know your body best and sometimes we know what the result may be. If you're still having symptoms though, hold onto some hope and test again at 12/13 DPO as much better chance of getting a reliable result. Sending you lots of positivity xx

@Nellle welcome Nelle, I'm sorry you're having such a tough time but glad you have joined us. How are you tracking your cycles atm? Are you taking/using anything to help conceive? It's so so shit getting a BFN. Xx

@Northernsoul90 welcome to the group, so sorry about your recent MC, ❤️ I never knew they donr the procedure under local anaesthetic, I had an ERPC so was under general. That must have been so hard 😔.

I didnt have a period again until 8 weeks after, but I had retained tissue so it took ages to recover from. Since then, my cycles are still settling. I had a 20 , 24 , 31 & 32 day cycle. So I'm still unsure what will happen month to month but hopefully getting there. Other ladies on the group have had their period return 4 weeks after or close to their normal cycle length. Be kind to yourself and let yourself grieve. Hopefully your cycle returns to normal fairly on time. Xx

@Eli2020 I'm really sorry you have also recently suffered a loss. It really is heartbreaking, but you're in good company here. I didn't personally try straight after MC because my cycle took ages to come back. But I'm on Cycle 5 post MC and this is cycle 3. Personally I know my body is still settling so I am trying not to get too disheartened (much easier said than done) but have faith it will happen. What is a Clinical Guard test? I've not heard of them so unsure on the sensitivity xx

@Diorissimo1985 Oh no, I have no advice on that at all! Did your doctor elaborate at all? Did she say there would be an increased risk of MC if you continue to TTC? I'm glad you have an appt on Monday though. Hopefully you get some more information before you ovulate so you can make a decision on whether or not to try ❤️

@MichT4 I would trust it. Try and take them in the same light where possible. I bet when you do one in 4 hours it will be even darker!!

Get to it 🍆💦 xxx

@Northernsoul90 sorry to hear about your MC.

I didn't start tracking first month, so not sure what to advise. My cycles went back to pre - MC in the first month - I think - because I don't know which day I'd count as day 1. But they seem to have got back to normal length. I don't know if I ovulated first month, or if things are actually back to normal if you know what I mean, but length wise I seemed OK. I think it depends how far along you were etc.
I know it's hard, and it's very early for you so you are bound to feel low. The girls here are amazing and will all have solid advice and wise words. I think we have all been there thinking it won't happen, I still have wobbles, but it will Smile I'm sure of it.

@Eli2020 same to you - sorry you find yourself here. I'm 3 cycles post MC too. Try not to think it's anything you can do, it sounds like you are covering your bases. I got caught up in the conceiving straight away thing but I think one of the girls said yesterday, there's not really any science behind it, so don't be hard on yourself. Maybe try a more sensitive test?

@Diorissimo1985 try not to be anxious. See it as a positive that they are doing some investigations. Maybe don't worry too much this cycle, it might happen anyway. But I don't think you should put it off if you don't want to. It's great you are being seen so quickly again too - fingers crossed you get some answers soon.

@Niisa you need to be using a FRER! I'm hopeful for you

MichT4 · 12/06/2020 11:31

@VP91x I did take the second pics in the same light as the other days so hopefully they are comparing the same thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Uuggh OH is working. He has a break from now til 12.30 - he won’t know what’s hit him when he walks in the door. Or I act nonchalant and catch him a little later. Don’t want any pressure 😂💦🍆

VP91x · 12/06/2020 11:34

@MichT4 I know femometer sometimes fluctuates the levels a bit but not by that much so I'm sure it is accurate.

Maybe he would like a bit of afternoon delight?😉 Xx

Eli2020 · 12/06/2020 11:36

@VP91x and @MichT4 thanks so much for taking the time to reply to me and for understanding. @VP91x Clinical Guard are just Internet cheapies .. I tell myself maybe they are not sensitive enough but I've seen online and on YouTube people can detect pregnancies with them as early as 9 or 10 dpo. Whats also confusing is that I felt something (best described as twinges) on 6 dpo so I thought if this was implantation bfp should have showed by now 🤔 and also had a tiny bit of spotting (just when I wipe) on 9 and 10 dpo (was really tiny but I never have spotting that early before AF) so then I think ok maybe then this is implantation but then again bfp should have showed by now ... or maybe I'm just holding on to some tiny hope 🙁 just want to have a baby so bad 🥺

MichT4 · 12/06/2020 11:40

@VP91x well he's getting some!! He's just come in saying he's hungry, so I'll feed him up first Wink

@Eli2020 it still might be early. If you had spotting just 2 days ago then it might not show yet. I don't want to get your hopes up, but don't get too down until you know for sure. Then you can treat yourself and get ready for another month. It's OK to feel sad about it, but try again on an early response and then deal with whatever it is from there xxx

VP91x · 12/06/2020 11:58

@Eli2020 I agree if you had spotting on 10DPO to try on an early response either later with a hold or tomorrow morning and go from there, xxxx

So nice to get such kind replies 🙂 I remember using mumsnet many years ago for something non-TTC related and someone not my head off "Don't @ me. It's not what we do here." 😂😂 I think this must be the nicest corner of the site.

@MichT4 I know what you mean about the clichés! You believe them completely when offering them out, but it's just impossible to follow your own advice. I'm treading the fine line between planning sensibly and obsessing unhealthily at the mo. Hope you are able to find some balance too ♥️♥️

@anaconda76 Yes, the waiting is killer! I can barely wait for a slice of toast, let alone 2 bloody weeks for a flipping period 😂😂 This process is a cruel biological joke. Yeah, losing at 11 weeks was tough, particularly because I had a heartbeat the morning my miscarriage started. The woman scanning me even said "congratulations". But I lost my little bean in a hospital waiting room. No one believed me that it was happening. I think I'm still a bit traumatised to be honest. I hope none of us ever have to go through it again. 💔

@northernsoul90 My cycle post-MC has been pretty unchanged. A day longer or shorter here or there.

@niisa Thinking of you and it still sounds positive! The cheapies aren't that sensitive 🤞🤞 Same @eli2020 you might not be out!

Hi @VP91x 👋👋 I have useed Natural Cycles both for planning and preventing pregnancy. Also OPKs, I usually use chepies then a digital to confirm. I've been taking Pregnacare. Would anyone recommend anything different?

Also (sorry for the long post), is anyone T1 diabetic or has a partner who is? My hubby is and I wonder how much impact it's having.

Xxxx

Northernsoul90 · 12/06/2020 12:17

@VPN1x thank you, yes still very raw at the moment some days I feel okay and other days I just feel hopeless. They weren’t offering D and C under general at my local hospital due to covid but my husband was allowed in with me during the procedure which I was relieved at. It wasn’t the most pleasant experience - I had an injection into the cervix and gas and air for pain relief. I was still suffering from very bad nausea and vomiting up until the day of the procedure, that went almost instantly after it was done so I am glad I didn’t wait to try and miscarry naturally as I found still having pregnancy symptoms when I knew I had lost the baby distressing. I’m glad to have a found a forum were others have had similar experiences. Hopefully it will happen for me soon. I was worrying about regained tissue, i was quite surprised that no scan or anything was done after the procedure to check it had all been removed. Did you have symptoms of having retained tissue?

@MichT4 thank you, I think I will wait for at least a couple of weeks and then start thinking about tracking ovulation etc again. I was told to wait for 3 weeks then test to make sure I get a negative. Hoping that my cycles return fairly quickly then we can start trying again.

Does anyone have any recommendations for ovulation tests? I was using the clear blue digital ones which did work for me but they are pricey Xx

MichT4 · 12/06/2020 12:28

@Nellle finding balance is tough. Oddly, last month I was doing nothing except using apps. But I was driving myself, and probably OH mad! He said I was stressed about it and while I was crying and shouting that I wasn’t....I realised I was!
Oddly, for me (so far anyway) getting the Ava and OPKs has helped because I feel a bit more in control. I can see what’s happening and don’t have to panic about DTD all month long. I started panicking if we hadn’t done it which wasn’t nice for either of us. Now I’m more relaxed that we are doing what we can but still keeping it fun.
It’s really important to find what you’re comfy with xx

@northernsoul90, I use the femometer OPKs. Can’t justify spending on CBS, though I’m very tempted. The app then logs the readings with photos of the sticks which is handy, though bas driven me slightly mad this week 😂

2020wish · 12/06/2020 12:33

Welcome newcomers!!! You we will be very welcomes here and nothing is off limits lol

4dpo and I a lot of CM hoping this is the start of a positive outcome!! Finally able to start my aspirin today also as my bloods are done!

Niisa · 12/06/2020 13:15

@Nellle thanks hun & welcome 💕💕

@MichT4 AS SOON AS IT COMESSS! Don't worry 😂 even tho the delivery has been changed to tomorrow for some reason 🙄

Niisa · 12/06/2020 13:24

Woke up at 10.30 this morning and I'm really struggling to stay awake! I think I may just go have a nap - I've been like this the last couple of days too! 😩

VP91x · 12/06/2020 13:26

@Nellle I have seen some savage responses on the AIBU boards. I always wonder what made someone be so angry on a forum 😂🤔

Ooh, sounds like you are fully set up! How have you been getting on with Pregnacare? I see lots of comments about it messing with cycles xx

@Northernsoul90 God 😩 I can't believe that happened after you'd seen the HB that morning. So unbelievablely cruel. You're so bravr to have had the procedure like that, doesn't sound pleasant at all. Sending you so much love xx

Yeah so, my bleeding initially stopped after like two days, but I felt like my lower tummy was in so much pain. Super tender, so I called my GP and they said they'd put me on antibiotics just in case but to keep an eye as I wasn't bleeding. A few days later I was still in so much pain, then started bleeding heavily again and passed big clots 😩. Called EPU who got me in for a scan and I still had more retained tissue. They offered me another ERPC, the tablet or to wait. This was on NYE so I took some time to make a decision and in those few days the rest came away. A few more big clots etc. Then my period returned on Feb 14 xx

Wowser just caught up on a few days of posts following my BFN earlier this week, a lot has happened, I'm just mentally preparing for next week and next cycle.

Good luck to any testing over the weekend x

HE88 · 12/06/2020 14:58

Hi to all the newcomers I'm sorry that you find yourself here but this group is super supportive and everyone is lovely 🥰.

I'm 8dpo today and I told myself I wouldn't test until af was late but I'm starting to get ants in my pants and want to test early 🤦‍♀️.

VP91x · 12/06/2020 15:12

Hey @SmileyT how are you? I was thinking of you this morning. Thought you might be taking some time out.

@HE88 I don't blame you, I get impatient from 7dpo for sure. How are you feeling xx

OP posts:
HE88 · 12/06/2020 15:21

@VP91x I'm feeling good thanks trying not to symptom spot. I'm basing my want to test early on the fact that I ovulated on my wedding anniversary and taking this as a lucky charm so stupid really ha ha hope you are doing OK xx

Bellabubble · 12/06/2020 15:24

@he88 / yeh social distancing is a nightmare!! We had to set the room up so they were 2m apart when sat at the tables, then tbey all have their own tray of resources, but outside play and if it’s wet play inside makes it soooo hard for them! I’m such a believer in not being sat at desks all the time for lesrning too that it feels a bit alien to me! It’s so cute to watch them get to see their friends again though!!

@MichT4 we got a new build as they were being built in the area we were living in, but oh my god the snag list of stuff they haven’t done to a decent standard is crazy (literally have 3/4 of the plug sockets where you can’t push a plug in, cracks in the door, window catch broken, bannister not properly attached - the lost goes on!!) We used lockdown to go in to the property and paint it though - as it was classed as unoccupied! I was able to borrow my Dad who is a builder as we were living with my parents, and builders could continue to work (although Dad didn’t go to people’s houses in the big peak of it all) so it meant we painted 👍🏻 Now I keep making lists of things I want to buy for the house if I ever get spare money again 😂

@vp91x gosh I can imagine 2-3yr olds wouldn’t really get the whole social distancing bless them!! The little ones like to be all up in people’s personal space 😂 I ised to teach a nursery/reception class split and the nursery children were so tactile - I stopped wearing leggings/tights with dresses etc and just wore trousers in the end as they kept wanting to stroke the material bless them!

Bellabubble · 12/06/2020 15:25

I have no idea what that little box is next to my thumbs up haha!!

HE88 · 12/06/2020 15:30

@Bellabubble yeah that's the same here in Scotland with the school set up its sad to see but needs to be done I guess. Xx

mrsssk · 12/06/2020 15:36

Welcome to all the new joiners, sorry you've found yourself here and praying we all get our BFPs soon 🤞🏽

@Eli2020 your story sounds so similar to mine 😞

@vp91x I think you were correct with my OPKS. Tested today and it's gone even more (practically zero) so I'm hoping that peak had happened and we timed everything right fx!
