TTC with PCOS tips and tricks

Hi Everyone!

I am currently 8 months into TTC with PCOS. It's been such a difficult journey for me so far and I was wondering if anyone else is going through this journey and he any advice, tips and tricks to help?!

A bit about my PCOS - I have high androgens, cysts on my ovaries and insulin resistance but I don't have issues with excess hair and my periods appear to be regular (although I don't think I ovulate every month, I do have a period every month).

I take my bbt at 6:45 every morning and it's all over the place. I've been using opks for 1 cycle and they also show results that are fairly all over the place!

I take omega 3 fish oil, vitamin d, myoinositol, green tea extract, and preconception pregnacare supplements. I have no idea if they're making a difference but I take them anyway!

Is anybody going through a similar journey? Smile

Hi
I have PCOS, I was diagnosed at 16. At 22 I had surprise DD. No help just a complete surprise.
At 27 we decided we wanted another but I was only having periods maybe 3 times a year. Because I knew about the PCOS I really pushed my GP for a referral to the infertility clinic. Nice guidelines (at the time, unsure now) said if you had a known condition then you didn't need to wait 12 months to be referred.
I started on metformin but unfortunately it did not agree with me and didn't help.
I started Clomid and 150mg dose started ovulation each month BUT I never had a peak on ovulation sticks despite scans showing ovulation was close. Not once did I have a positive opk.
I had 2 losses and DS was born in 2017.
Fast forward to March this year, wasn't trying, was preventing and I was 10 weeks pregnant with no clue at all. I'm now 23 weeks pregnant!
The best advice I was ever given whilst trying for DS was know the guidelines and if you have to fight for referrals or medication then do and have sex around 3 times a week. Good luck Flowers
