rubella injection?

Ive been told I need a blood test to check my immunity to rubella before I should start TTC.

Has anyone had to have rubella injection?
How long did you have to wait to start TTC after it?

i was warned about this by my colleagues(im a nurse), although i have not done it. as rubella is a live vaccine you would have to wait 3 months before ttc.
hope this helps. hard decision to make.

well I do the blood test this week, so fingers crossed I wont need the injection - 3 months is a long time to wait now we've finally decided to start trying.
