@KateColx ooooo yes we do love a bit of 50 shades. Me and OH are yet to watch the third film but thought I'd leave that for FW next cycle 😂😂x

@Vil10 was it too much having sex every day through the FW for you?? If it wasn't and you're only thinking of not doing it because it didn't work there's only 25% of getting pregnant every cycle and I think it takes it down to 22% when you do it every other from what I've been reading. So you could try every day for a few months and if that's not working for you then try something else ? I don't think you need to change what you're doing after the first cycle as you might be doing everything right x

Vil10 · 09/06/2020 21:39

@33Carr I might have to give that one a watch during ovulation😂

@KateColx yeah I know what you mean, ovulation and peak talk isn't really something to get you in the mood especially when it's so structured and to a time and day! Oh I know, some people have sex once 4 days before ovulation and fall pregnant and here we are trying everything under the sun!!x

Vil10 · 09/06/2020 21:41

@lucyrp not it weren't too much, OH loved it😂 yeah you're probably right, I might keep it to everyday for this cycle and next and see where we're at, jeez 22% really isn't a lot is it!! It's bloody hard work this TTC malarkey!!

lucyrp · 09/06/2020 21:48

@Vil10 I know it's mad isn't it! 25% every cycle even if you're doing everything right. I think we're going to try every day again this next cycle too. If it's not too much I think it's worth trying for 3/4 cycles and then if it's too much changing things up then x

lucyrp · 09/06/2020 21:50

Is just had a lovely shower, tanned, done a face mask, moisturised and now sat in bed 🥰 OH is downstairs on his game 🙄not that I rally mind as I don't want to get up to anything in case it brings af on or loosens a possible bean!😂

Juno231 · 09/06/2020 22:02

@JustMouse I do the same! I keep freaking out about early menopause as well 🙊

Vil10 · 09/06/2020 22:02

@lucyrp how do these people get pregnant so easily and without trying when we only have 25% chance even when we're actively trying! Yeah definitely, we'll do that then!x

lucyrp · 09/06/2020 22:03

@Vil10 yeah I know makes me so angry 😂 x

Ltay2 · 09/06/2020 22:06

Urgh got the news that someone else I know is pregnant tonight 😫 one of OH friends and we don't really see them ever so it's not too much bother to me but still annoying that it's not me 🙄 obviously happy for them really but you know what I mean!!

Really feeling like when/if I eventually do a social media pregnancy announcement I should include some sort of disclaimer on the bottom for anyone secretly TTC and feeling like shit seeing my post as I do with everyone else's 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/06/2020 22:14

I think the same @Ltay2! It's a taboo subject and it really shouldn't be. Ppl need to know how bloody hard it is for some!

blodyn91 · 09/06/2020 22:25

@Ltay2 I think its a good idea, and has crossed my mind!

@Vil10 we DTD for 5 days straight then again after a 2 day break for luck - which didn't work, but aiming for that again with a better idea of when I ovulate by using OPKs and not just an app. I've been taking vit and mins for over a month now and OH has started, so Im blaming them not being in my system 🙈

Ltay2 · 09/06/2020 22:27

@notyetamumbuttrying I know I would be pleased to see something like that on someone else's post so I am definitely going to do it if and when the time comes. It'll feel like I'm helping someone even if nobody actually finds it helpful 🤣 I think it's easy to assume that every pregnancy announcement is coming from someone who's easily got pregnant and it's definitely not the case. I would hate to think that someone resents me for being pregnant when they are trying and being unsuccessful when I will have been through the same journey unbeknownst to them. It is so strange how it's such a taboo subject but yet it's not an embarrassing thing really - maybe people think it is?

SmileyT · 09/06/2020 22:33

@Elou26 let me know how you get on testing 🤞

@33Carr got it on now 👀

@Vil10 13 was my peak so did 3 days then took a break and one more day for luck👌🏾

@notyetamumbuttrying peeing on a stick and pissing in a pot 😂

@lucyrp that sounds like a lovely evening, glad you're looking after yourself ☺️

@Ltay2 I imagine a post making others feel bad but it's so hard because obviously it's so bloody exciting and such a happy time when it happens, so a disclaimer feels like a nice touch. Totally agree that it's almost like women feel obliged to hide the fact that they tried as if I'm some kind of failure and the fear that if they tell people and don't get pregnant they will look down on them but can't imagine any decent human feeling that way x

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/06/2020 22:51

Very odd right. @Ltay2 I think because ppl keep ttc private until the 12 week scan, it means you keep how long it took private as well. Defo Gonna say how long it took me!

@SmileyT ah pissing in a pot, gotcha 😂 I always pee straight onto a stick, never have a pot i'd want to pee in available lol!

Elou26 · 09/06/2020 23:10

Thanks @SmileyT I will do 😊 good luck 🤞🏻

TTCmummy2021 · 09/06/2020 23:15

Well it's definitely AF for us so we won't be getting our BFP this month sadly but thank you to everyone who's been so kind to me and letting me join your lovely thread. I hope the July bus is just as good as this one! You kept me sane 💓

@lucyrp - how are you doing?
@Vil10 - are you doing ok after the friend meet up? Did you figure out what to do about Mexico?
@SmileyT - thanks for setting up a lovely thread!

Catherinettc · 09/06/2020 23:24

@TTCmummy2021 Aw noo!

I really hoped this was it for you guys 😪😪
Big hugs ❤❤ xx

TTCmummy2021 · 09/06/2020 23:28

@Catherinettc - no sadly not and I really don't get why as this was exactly what happened the other two times wifey fell pregnant 🥺 with all the signs and symptoms damn it too!!

How are you?? Did you get bloods done? Sorry if you've already said but this thread loves so quick and I work 11hrs/day during the week so can't keep up!

Franklydear · 09/06/2020 23:42

@TTCmummy2021 that is a lovely typo, this thread loves so quickly... Sorry to hear your news, thought, this is a rolling bus, don't go anywhere

TTCmummy2021 · 09/06/2020 23:44

Oops, sorry! I didn't even notice the typo 🤷‍♀️

I'll stay around if that's ok? We will be trying again and ovulation is due approx. 23-25 June so testing early July I guess.

Catherinettc · 10/06/2020 00:43

@TTCmummy2021 I called the doctor today and spoke to the nurse who I know well. Explained the situation and she said to hand in fmu sample to be checked at the lab. Will receive results the next day so Thursday. No mention of bloods as yet 🤷‍♀️

I'm sure your time will come, its just not as easy for u guys but keep the faith. My auntie and her wife had a wee girl nearly a year ago after a few failed attempts xx

Sydgal22 · 10/06/2020 00:45

@TTCmummy2021 so sorry this wasn’t the month for you :(

@Ltay2 I really like that idea of a post! I don’t understand why people feel the need to hide how long it took or that they had a miscarriage, maybe it’s just me I’m a completely open a book, probably too much so 😂

@Vil10 we did SMEP this month but missed actual ovulation day cause I was a right moody cow 🤦‍♀️😭 gonna make a better attempt at it next month!

@Newbie0818 I think it was you that was asking about relaxation in the tww? I’ve taken up knitting and I’m loving it! I also do tww medications and yogas that I just type into google when I feel a bit stressy, should probably do it a bit more!

@lucyrp loved your pamper night! Still no sign of AF for you? Keeping everything crossed!

No real update from me, 5 day DPO so I know I’ll start bloody symptoms spotting even tho I said I wouldn’t! Work is really quiet so no distraction. Woke up to a msg from preg friend saying that she’s woken up with a baby bump and usually her stomach is really flat. I wanted to write back Saying id love to know what a flat stomach feels like never mind a baby bump 😂 I didn’t write that so I’ll put it here instead 😜 ah but I’m so happy for her, as long as I’m pregnant before she gives birth otherwise I don’t know how I’ll cope!!

Have a good day/night ladies :)

Skip86 · 10/06/2020 01:17

Morning ladies!

Ooh yes line @Sarah1253 !! 😍

So goddamn excited for testers today @SmileyT @notyetamumbuttrying @Franklydear @unluckyducky 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I'll be checking in loads to see those bad boys!!

@JustMouse im opposite to you, worried that my periods are too long. I used to be very average 3 medium flow days then a day or too of light, but now at least 7 days of decent flow. I'm worried there isn't enough time from the end of AF to implantation for a lovely cushy lining!

@Ltay2 your disclaimer for social media preg announcements! 🙌🏼 yesss! Such a thoughtful idea.

@TTCmummy2021 @Franklydear 💕This thread loves so quickly💕

Ok so ages back in these threads I alluded to the fact I'd had a termination but was worried I would upset others here who might have been trying for a long time. I am just so grateful to be talking to a bunch of women who are open about these things, and also pro choice!
I had a termination when I was 15 😳 and also with my husband soon after our second baby was born. It feels somewhat cathartic to say that 'out loud'...
Even so, I completely understand why that would be a difficult to hear @SmileyT, but it sounds like you have chosen well with your friends and I'm so glad you could then have a good conversation 💗

@Sydgal22 my mum wants to teach me how to knit and I am like, ain't got no time for knitting mate! 😂 but I'm glad it relaxes you!

CD11 here and actually can't believe I'm already at this point in my cycle already! Getting all up and around OH this weekend 🍆

lucyrp · 10/06/2020 06:14

Morning girls, 16dpo here ☺️

@SmileyT I did have a lovely evening actually and I think it really helped me relax because I've woken up feeling like I had such a good sleep I feel refreshed although il probably feel drained within an hour of getting up😂

@TTCmummy2021 im okay thank you still hanging on in here, how are you and your wife ? Don't worry about the July bus as we are keeping this one rolling so we'll all be here with you🥰also loved the typo. This thread certainly loves! And it moves quickly!

@Sydgal22 i don't like to jinx it... 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I had such a good sleep my pamper night really relaxed me 🥰

@Skip86 I also thought it was lovely how everyone is so open here. Its always a touchy subject to speak about especially in a TTC thread but these things happen and I'm glad everyone talks about it.

Looking forward to our testers this morning! 😁

33Carr · 10/06/2020 06:16

BFN this morning 😖😔 AF isn't here though but I think that's giving me false hopes! Damn!
