Bleeding 6 days early

This is our 3rd month TTC our 1st and my periods are normally fairly regular between 28 & 30 days, today should be day 22. Yesterday I had a little brown watery discharge, and woke up this morning to red bleeding like the start of AF however not very heavy. I have also not had any cramping at all or any of my normal AF symptoms, this is very unusual for me so I was quite upset this morning because I was feeling quite hopeful for this month. However I've read that quite a few people have implantation bleeding that starts off looking like an early period and go on to have a BFP.
So really my I just wanted to ask, has anyone had any similar experiences? Or gone on to get a BFP?
I really don't want to get my hopes up for nothing.

Hi, I had exactly this as well this month. I thought it was implantation bleeding but it was AF 5/6 days earlier than expected. My cycles are longer though (usually around 36 days), so it didn't make it particularly short. 22 days does sound very short to be AF. Sorry I can't offer an answer but I guess time will tell. I completely empathise with you, I was driving myself crazy and the more I googled the more I was convinced it was IB.

How are you doing today?

Thanks for you reply Daffodil, can I ask how long have you been TTC? Yeah I've been scrolling through Google and posts on here trying to convince myself that it was implantation bleeding but I'm pretty sure it's AF now, yesterday it was redish brown but not very heavy for most of the day, so I thought I had a chance at implantation bleeding. But today I woke up to bright red heavy bleeding and cramps, so I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that it is AF a few days early rather than the implantation bleed I hoped for. Still don't know why AF came this early though, its very unlike me, although maybe stress has had an effect on it (perhaps that's the case for you too?). On the plush side though at least I can look forward to trying again next month, I'm going to try OPK's this time.

We've been trying for 18 months and had 2 losses so I'm absolutely fed up with it all to be honest. I thought I was pregnant this month because my early period threw me off. How long have you been TTC? I actually did have implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy, just a bit when I wiped once. I thought it was period starting. Yours sounds a little too heavy to be implantation bleeding, but I have read that some people have it heavy enough to mistake for their period so you never know.

I sometimes use OPKs, the month I conceived I decided to ditch the tracking and the OPKs, then I got pregnant again straight after the first loss, I didn't have a period at all. Now I've decided I'm going to start using OPKs every month and this month we're going to try SMEP. I use the clear blue ones because I can't be bothered phaffing around over the strength of a line and I also don't like the idea peeing in a cup to dip a test strip into. Which ones will you be using? Are you taking any vitamins etc?

Sorry. I've just seen you've been TTC for 3 months. How are you finding in general? It's certainly a rollercoaster
