Hi all, went to the hospital today after numerous positive test to start spotting then proceed to have heavy bleeding with clots to have blood test to be told I had a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks. Only went in because i suspected ectopic have had one before and felt the same. I have a DS of 2 and had a D and C the this time last year after a mmc at 8 weeks so I suppose I'm just about emotional and feeling sorry for myself and looking for any one in the same position really? Been ttc since last year and just seeing if anyone has any advice thanks very much just feel like it's never going to happen 😞 DH is away on work and just feel very lonely....xx

Hey sorry this has happened to you - I have just come back from A & E. had 13 positive tests over the past week and had an awful doctor tell me I had never been pregnant in the first place so I am devastated and very confused also. How can 13 tests be wrong? He said that the blood test would have shown if I was pregnant and miscarried. X

Hi both of you, I'm really sorry what you went through. I went through a mc at the end of May at 6 weeks. My DD is 3 and we wanted her to have a sibling when she was 3.5 ish. We waited to conceive and got pregnant. When I went to the hospital because I had spotting, they didn't find anything in the scan. No sac, nothing. To this day I don't know if it was a chemical pregnancy or...? How do they know? All I know was my hcg was 1245 and it dropped to 242 two days later.

Please don't lose hope. You'll remember what happened but it will pass. Post in the MC section and you'll find people with similar experiences. MC is very common and it's not your fault. I'm trying to conceive and not losing hope. Please don't lose hope either. I wish you the best. Eat well, look after yourself and rest.
