New thread for those who were on the May/June thread and didn’t get a BFP, think we’re up to 14 people with a BFP 😍

Anyone who will be testing on above dates welcome, I’ll create a list of usernames and testing date and we will then support each other through the TWW, symptom spotting brain ache and AF arriving or celebrating a BFP. Great if everyone could give a little info about them too!

I’m 30, boyfriend is 27. TTC #1 Cycle 3. Tried SMEP last month and using OPK’s. Not even a hint of pregnancy yet for me but hoping for some baby dust my way this month!

@motherofdinosau we are definitely in sync with our cycles as I had pain last night aswel! Just tries getting the OH to have a quickie when he got in from work but he was having none of it🙄 he actually laughs at me!🙉 said he'd just had a 2hour drive back from work & wanted to chill, so I'd have to wait for a longy later!! 🤣
@Whilstwewait yes I'd be interested in the YouTube fertility yoga👍🏻

Mamainmaking1 · 08/06/2020 18:46

@Bubblegum20 thank you!! How many days have you been dtd ? We did it the past 4 days and will do it tonight then and I think that will be it lol. I had high results yesterday and the day before, I could of peaked on either day but the app said yesterday was the peak. What tests are you using? I am glad I used them this month as I would of been 3 days out if I had of relied on the ovia app.

Bubblegum20 · 08/06/2020 19:28

@Mamainmaking1 we've been doing it everyday since Thursday! Oh did you, what tests are you using? I'm using the clear blue digital! Yeh same my app has been off a few a few times as well but luckily I've always known from OPK's

RoEP2018 · 08/06/2020 20:47

Anyone else trying for their second and have a completely different cycle from first time round? 😩 or anyone have irregular cycles?
I used to have a 28/29 day cycle every month. Since having my daughter and I came off the pill last October, my cycles are anywhere between 26 and 32 days!! First month TTC and I see this being a bit of a shitter already 🤣

kate123cl · 08/06/2020 21:14

@RoEP2018 Yes!! Same with me x

Jonsey1987 · 08/06/2020 21:29

Hi guys. I'm due to test around 28th ish... I'm 32 hubby is 30. We miscarried at 7 weeks in March on 2/3 cycle of trying for baby number 1. All my friends are posting scan pics and today it's killing me! I feel like I've done everything I can this month so fingers crossed but so disheartened. X

mylittlebean2019 · 08/06/2020 22:30

@RoEP2018 yep my cycle used to be so predictable and now it’s everywhere! I had a 4 month gap between my second and third AF and then my last cycle was 39 days!

@jonsey187 sorry to hear about your MC. It’s always difficult when you see others around you falling pregnant but fingers crossed this is your month!!

So this is my first cycle using OPK. What cycle day do you all start on? I’m currently on CD 10 and my CB app says to start on CD 13 but I’m worried I’m going to miss my OD as my cycles are so irregular. Do you think I should start tomorrow?

peonyrose87 · 08/06/2020 22:43

@mylittlebean2019 I start testing on day 10. I seem to ovulate day 12/13 as my cycles are 27 days so I'd recommend starting testing early!

RoEP2018 · 08/06/2020 22:55

@@kate123cl I wonder why that is?! 😩

@NadJade hi! Have your periods always been like that? Not helpful is it 😆

@Jonsey1987 sorry to hear that ☹️ So difficult having friend news like that too. I hope you've got some good support around you.

@mylittlebean2019 I can see this causing us grief 😆 first month for me so I thought I'd start as I mean to go on and get the OPK's out. I just did one now to give it a go and it's come out as High! I'm only CD7?! Seems odd!

VP91x · 09/06/2020 08:27

Morning ladies,

Started testing on CB advanced yesterday, got a low and was expecting to get 3/4 of those because that's what happened last month. However, I have gone to flashy this morning!

Hoping I am not in a long stint of flashies. Today was the start of SMEP for me too, so good timing!

How is everyone today?

Welcome @Mamainmaking1 @NadJade

@Jonsey1987 so sorry you have suffered a loss. Sending you lots of love.

@RoEP2018 also trying for my second, however had a MC in Dec which is what haa thrown off my cycles. So totally understand the frustration of not knowing when AF might turn up but, OV and BBT tracking has really really helped. Although I might not know when in the month it is coming for sure, at least I know it is about to happen with the OV sticks and then confirmed with BBT xx

NadJade · 09/06/2020 10:00

@RoEP2018 Hey, yeah my periods always been like this for as long as I remember.. annoying really!! I just end up testing every day for a week 🤦🏼‍♀️

@VP91x Thankyou for welcoming me, I have never joined a group before, I'm just one that usually watches and reads but you all seemed lovely. Xx

Fran2020 · 09/06/2020 10:24

Morning everyone and welcome to everyone who is new to this thread Smile

@VP91x last month I got 5 low days then peak! Very strange but I made sure I DTD during those days before. I'm doing my own adjusted version of SMEP because of that! Good luck to you Smile

VP91x · 09/06/2020 10:44

@Fran2020 CB is so odd, I have seen a few people where they go straight to peak from a low! At least no messing about there, good that you still DTD throughout that time.

Thank you!

@NadJade yeah, I always used to follow threads and not post too but now I have got stuck in. Really enjoy them! X

Fran2020 · 09/06/2020 11:11

@VP91x It is strange! I was very confused last month and had only DTD once before getting Peak. But this month I am more clued up so can do it more!

@NadJade I used to just follow threads and not join in, but I'm so pleased I post now. It's such a supportive community.

Bubblegum20 · 09/06/2020 12:05

I’ve just done another OPK and I’ve still got a flashing smiley face on the clear blue digital! That’s the 4th day now! This is my first month using them normally I just use amazon cheap ones, how long do they normally flash for?

Mamainmaking1 · 09/06/2020 15:04

Thank you @VP91x

So sorry to hear about your loss @Jonsey1987, so hard to watch everyone around you but fingers crossed that will be you soon also!!

@Bubblegum20 I am just using the brand easy@home OPKs, got highs on Saturday and Sunday and the results fell a bit yesterday to 0.69 (morning) then 0.28 (last night) but today my test was 0.59 this morning. Does anyone know if it's normal for the test to go up and down a bit ? Or should I be seeing it drop to completely low at this stage? Completely new to this, how do you find the clear blue tests compared to the Amazon ones?

Mamainmaking1 · 09/06/2020 15:16

@mylittlebean2019 I have very short cycles 24 days so I literally start testing cycle day 6 the day after my period ends. I got my peak on cycle day 9 or 10 (both high). Last month I definatly missed my peak days as I only DTD on the last three days of my fertile window and it was a few days out. So perhaps if you can get some cheap test on Amazon you could possibly start testing earlier to put your mind at ease you aren't missing anything and use the clear blue when you see an increase in levels. I've also tried temping but find it very hard to keep on top of and missed two days this month that were probably the most important two days lol.

DoctorBambino · 09/06/2020 15:22

@bubblegum20 last cycle I had 7 days flashing and the cycle before I had 8, it starts to feel like its mocking you after a while! I think it days percentages of how many women get however many days flashing on the leaflet.

MyGossip · 09/06/2020 15:24

@Fran2020 I find CB strange too. I was getting nothing then went straight to a static face then nothing afterwards. No flashing faces or anything.

@Bubblegum20 I think it can vary depending on how long you ovulate for?

@Mamainmaking1 I've found this with Easy@Home OPKs but found taking two pictures of the same tests in different lights give different readings at times. But I've found testing with these super easy - I would test first thing in the morning and late afternoon and it would either get stronger or weaker.

cd24x · 09/06/2020 15:42

Hello everyone, do you mind if I join in?

I came off the pill at end of April in the hopes that we would start TTC #1 after our wedding in September. However we've now had to postpone until September 2021 so thought we might as well see what happens in the next few months. So this will be cycle 1 for us.

My first proper cycle off the pill was 25 days which was short compared to pre-pill. I am currently CD9, with Flo predicting ovulation on 14th and Clue predicting 12th. So just going to DTD every other day from now until after ovulation to be on the safe side.

All being well, I expect AF to appear somewhere around 25th June but will try my best to hold off testing until 28th just to be sure Smile

I've just ordered some multivitamins, but apart from that, we're pretty much just seeing what happens and trying not to overthink it.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

HellloBambinos · 09/06/2020 16:00

Just checking in, welcome to all the new joiners Smile I defo think statistically we have to get some BFPs this month as there's so many of us!

I've still not had a positive OPK despite Flo predicting ovulation on the weekend. I've downloaded Ovia now which is saying this is my fertile week rather than last but only managed to DTD on Sunday so far this week. Argh so confusing! Currently on CD13 of a 24-26 day cycle.

I'm also a bit worried that I'm hardly having any CM - is anyone else the same?

HellloBambinos · 09/06/2020 16:04

@cd24x really sorry about your wedding Flowers I've had short cycles since coming off contraception too, i guess the bright side its less time to wait between cycles!

cd24x · 09/06/2020 16:17

@HellloBambinos Thank you. We're just lucky that we have TTC to focus on whilst we wait for next year.

Whilstwewait · 09/06/2020 16:25

@fran2020 oh god how annoying i didnt realise it prevented you trying for a baby for a month. The sperm test is a pain. We timed ours so it didnt mean we missed a cycle of TTC. I was worried about the pressure to perform and drop it off within timescales but on the day it was fine. I left DH to it whilst i had my breakfast then we took it in together. Surreal experience.

I just did a massage that you can do on yourself Ill try anything Smile ill pop the yoga link below. Im doing it everyday. It was recommended on another thread i used to be on.

@helllobambinos same here. Ive worried every month and tried all sorts. Ive only ever really noticed it one month. Ive read loads of people get pregnant without really noticing. Im hoping all mine is up in my cervix where it really matters. Ive tried evening primrose to help and loads of water and not made much difference. Going to try cough medicine this month its meant to help.

I did see a study on preseed and although recommended by so many people apparently it does still kill some sperm. Its only recommended for people who have always needed lube because its better than standards ones. If you don't need lube does more harm than good apparently

Yoga link m.youtube.com/watch?v=oFHYSf0v6Sc for you as well @Chlo2701
Hope it helps 🙏 xx

Mamainmaking1 · 09/06/2020 17:00

@MyGossip omg yes totally have to agree. I got a strong result yesterday and it was reading at 0.05 - I knew it was totally wrong but no matter what it didn't change until I uploaded an actual pic last night and it was a much higher reading (0.68 or something). Have to admit that does unnerve me slightly as I am always second guessing if it's reading it correctly. I will keep testing esp today to see if it does actually come down - do you know if it's meant to drop right back down after a high or is a few days of highish reading after a peak normal? Are you still using those tests or have you changed it up?

@Whilstwewait I have seen that study too, was it a YouTube video you watched? I was just about to order it and it put me off. I ordered concieve plus instead as I defo need it but because I've watched that video I won't use much of it at all and I tend to use it more as a starter "outside" and try not to put much inside (sorry tmi). I don't know if it's any better but I didn't see any reports on it so I thought I would take the chance.

@cd24x our wedding has been put back to next year too, we were due to get married this month. Hopefully we both manage to fill this year with a pregnancy Smile
