New thread for those who were on the May/June thread and didn’t get a BFP, think we’re up to 14 people with a BFP 😍

Anyone who will be testing on above dates welcome, I’ll create a list of usernames and testing date and we will then support each other through the TWW, symptom spotting brain ache and AF arriving or celebrating a BFP. Great if everyone could give a little info about them too!

I’m 30, boyfriend is 27. TTC #1 Cycle 3. Tried SMEP last month and using OPK’s. Not even a hint of pregnancy yet for me but hoping for some baby dust my way this month!

@littlebee - 2nd July

@Wyewaving bash some into a smoothie or with Greek yoghurt?

emma256 · 04/06/2020 14:08

@MyGossip that sounds promising, good luck! How many days of the flashing smiley did you have before it turned static? My 1st month trying it so not sure what to expect!

Totally understand about trying not to make it forced, it's so hard isn't it. I have been wearing nice matching underwear beforehand to make me feel better about myself and so my husband doesn't feel like it's a chore and we're doing it for one reason only, interested in other people's advice on this!

Wyewaving · 04/06/2020 14:43

@emma256 I think that’s a good way of looking at it, maybe having the odd date night (as much as we can atm!) during your FW so it doesn’t seem like it’s something that has to be done if that makes sense.

We’re only on cycle two this month so it doesn’t feel like a chore yet but I can imagine it could feel that way after a while.

@MyGossip That’s a good idea, I love Greek yogurt so might give it a go Smile

Fran2020 · 04/06/2020 15:58

What cycle day do people know that they ovulate on? I started OPK testing last month and reckon I may ovulate early (got the peak on CD11) and this maybe having an impact on TTC. Thanks

Whilstwewait · 04/06/2020 16:31

@Florarenniemackintosh thank for the link. I do normal yoga and love it for relaxing. I do yoga with marcella on the results with lucy website. She is so good. She does lives on insta that you can watch just to see what you think. I also use the calm app to meditate which i love also but not a specific fertility one. I may try fertility massage this month.

@fran2020 i have ovulated day 18 last 7 cycles. I still use OPKS as every month i take new vitamins as ill try anything suggested and worry it'll mess me up. This cycle i won't test as not trying anything new.

Apologies if im late replying. Im limiting myself to only checking mumsnet once a day and only this thread which is really helping me not obsess xx

Amy00 · 04/06/2020 16:43

Hey @Littlebee1990 thanks for starting a new thread! 👍

AF arrived yesterday for me and I have longish cycles, next one due around 5 July so pop me down for testing probably 4 July if I can wait that long!

This will be cycle 2 TTC #1, both of us are 31. I'll be addicted to the opks but not expecting to ovulate until CD21 😒 I'm so impatient.

Feeling positive about this cycle as we are about to move house so it would be lovely to start the next chapter of our lives with a BFP in the new house!! 🏡

dizzypixie · 04/06/2020 17:02

@Whilstwewait haha, I wish I had your willpower - I’m totally obsessed with checking MN now; I’m so distracted at work, it’s just all too exciting! I’ve also limited myself to this thread and one other in the hope that I might actually get some work done today...

Baby2123 · 04/06/2020 19:13

Hi all! Hope you don’t mind me joining also.

I’m 27 partners 26, we have a nearly 8 yo and after ttc I fell pregnant in the next cycle, at 23 weeks in March we found out he had Edwards, I had a termination 2 days later. It all went so wrong so quick.

ive had AF in April and after a 41 day cycle looks like AF has arrived again today. Normally I have 35 day cycles.

Next should be due 9th July, I know mines a tad later than the dates in the post but my DD was 8th July and I just really hope this is the month for me.

MyGossip · 04/06/2020 20:16

@emma256 this is my first proper month of tracking since AF left and I've been doing it twice a day with Easy@home OPK and then I've been using CB when my lines were getting stronger. Had 'O' the last two days and finally a static smiley today. I've attached my OPK to give you an idea? Someone posted this on another thread of there own one and it absolutely really helped me.

@Wyewaving yes try that! You'll not taste it too much. Add in Greek honey too 😊

@Fran2020 that could be right but depends on how long your cycle is? It looks like I'm ovulating now and I'm on CD12. Just keep testing!!

@Whilstwewait Ahhh I see, it's crazy how much it varies from person to person! You just planning on DTD every other day?

@Amy00 awww lovely, a nice new chapter! Sending positive thoughts to you! Hope the house move goes well too.

@MyGossip my cycles vary from 26-31 days. I'd be interested to see what happens this month.

TravelGem · 04/06/2020 22:58

Hello is it ok if I join
I’m 29 (for the next week or so) and by partner is 31. This will be our first time TCC, as it’s our first time we’ll just be going with the flow and hoping for the best 😊

Next cycle is due around the 24th I think so put me down for the 23rd

1992EM · 05/06/2020 06:19

Really hoping I don't ovulate early 🙈 have the worst ear infection , which started on CD1 . Now on antibiotics so hoping that doesn't mess with anything either . So many great ideas here so thank you, I feel like a complete novice. 😂 .

HellloBambinos · 05/06/2020 10:00

Is anyone else doing SMEP? Smile

I have short 24-26 day cycles so I did my first OPK yesterday (CD8) instead of CD10 and it was negative so I think I'm going to hang on until tomorrow to do another one. DH dropped the bombshell on me that he has a big project about to start at work that's going to involve late nights and weekends so I'm praying I get a positive before that otherwise we might miss our chance Sad

Tokyo29 · 05/06/2020 10:13

@dizzypixie - I don't think maternity leave is great in Japan, though I'm surprised to hear that it's rubbish in Switzerland! I'm generally a bit jealous that you have a job, I didn't think I would miss working as much as I do. There are a ton of expats here around my age who seem to be in a similar situation and the maternity groups seem to be thriving. I haven't met a ton of people because we only arrived the back end of last year and then COVID hit. Hmm
What the prenatal/antenatal group situation like in Switzerland? I have a few Swiss friends who always say that it can be difficult to really get to know Swiss people as a foreigner/expat.

kate123cl · 05/06/2020 10:14

Hi everyone, can I join please?Smile

I'm 21, partner is 23. This will be our second baby. First month of ttc with this one. Will be testing 28th June!Smile

Fran2020 · 05/06/2020 10:19

@HellloBambinos I think I'm going to give SMEP a try this month. My monitor has me testing from CD6 and last month I hit peak on CD11. Awww no, that's frustrating about his project. I hope you get your positive before that. Smile

DoctorBambino · 05/06/2020 10:36

@Fran2020 last month I got my static smiley on cd16 (29 day cycle) and the month before on cd15 (28 day cycle). I think as long as you have roughly 2 weeks from ovulation to AF it should be ok.

MyGossip · 05/06/2020 10:37

@HellloBambinos keep testing! You might not be far from your ovulation date. What OPKs are you using?

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 10:44

Hello Ladies,
Please can I join you?
I'm on cycle 3 (although only tracking the last two cycles)
AF is due 15th of June and il hold off testing as long as I can!

Rotagilla · 05/06/2020 10:45

Or is my testing date a bit early for this thread?

HellloBambinos · 05/06/2020 10:55

@Fran2020 I'd be happy with CD11 I think as that's Sunday for me so the day before said project. Come on ovaries do your thing Grin

@MyGossip I'm using One Step ones that I got on eBay, no idea if they are any good or not - they were quite cheap!

MyGossip · 05/06/2020 11:00

@HellloBambinos keep testing! I'm testing first thing and then late afternoon and I have seen a difference in my LH levels throughout the day by doing this. Good luck!

HellloBambinos · 05/06/2020 11:08

@MyGossip Okay you've convinced me I will test again today Grin I read yesterday that 2pm is the best time to test although I can't remember the reason why. Which OPKs do you use?

MyGossip · 05/06/2020 11:14

@HellloBambinos I was really disheartened last month as I wasn't really testing correctly and found these forums helpful and now I feel confident this month because if it. I use the easy@home and CB ones - got them from eBay and they link up to the Premom app. I read that too! I test first thing and then late afternoon, early evening and there is a difference in my levels.

Maybe333 · 05/06/2020 13:31

@Baby2123 aw I'm so sorry for your loss... That must have been such a hard time for you all! I hope you are OK.

Fingers crossed for everyone this month! Xx
