Hi all, I finally put my big girl pants on had a conversation with DH about the whispers babies. You could have knocked me over with a feather when he agreed that he's also gone from nope absolutely not to this is a really possibility over the last few years. Long and boring story short we've agreed to ditch the condoms and see where life takes us.

But not yet. Partly because I'm still new in my role (probation is up in July) and partly because of the global pandemic. My question is to those of you who have chosen to delay, how long are you thinking of leaving it? Till a vaccine is available or sooner? Eek!

Well there might never be a vaccine and alternating between lockdown and easing restrictions could potentially go on for a long time. Why would the pandemic sway whether you try anyway? This isn’t something like zika that causes issues in unborn babies. You could sit waiting for a year for the magic vaccine and it doesn’t come so decide to go for it anyway and then take over a year to conceive. Not everyone falls pregnant quickly. Granted wait for your probation period to be passed if you need some job security but I wouldn’t hold off for the virus.

That's a good point @DontStandSoClose but DH and I have already had CV so I'm not too bothered by that. I'm more bothered by the idea of not getting the opportunity to go to things like mum and baby groups (most of my friends already have kids so would be nice to meet people at the same stage). And my family are overseas so I'm mindful of wanting them to be able to visit.

I'm going to start this month op, put it off for a few months but at 37 I just dont really feel like I've got lots of time on my side! I'm still very anxious about it but just have to hope the virus dies down a bit later in the year!
