Hi all,

I was four days late and the noticed spotting and thought nothing of it. The next day I took at test and it was positive. That would make me nearly 5 weeks. The following day I started bleeding not a lot but I have been bleeding for nearly two days. I rang the doctors and they told me sit and wait. I know there's nothing I can do I just want to know if I am miscarrying or not. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

Thanks xx

Hi there, it's an awful time to just have to wait and see isn't it? All I can say is I have had bleeding in early pregnancy and had both outcomes - a miscarriage and a baby, so it isn't conclusive one way or another yet. Have you any pain?

No pain. I have a few twinges but I remember having those in my previous pregnancy. I hate waiting I'm so impatient. X

That's a positive at least. They won't want to scan at 5 weeks ( not in current situation) probably unless they suspected an ectopic. I have had hcg blood tests before, which needs to be repeated a couple of days apart to see if the numbers are doubling. Could ask for that if nothing changes. Your chances are still very good.
