Hi everyone new to all this please can some explain the abbreviations to me?

I track my periods on flo and it's telling when I ovulate so DTD ok those days this is our first month properly trying

Advice, tips and signs to look out for would be appreciated 🥰

My advice would be to DTD every other day rather than aiming specifically for when you think you'll be ovulating. It takes a bit of the pressure off (as you'll not just be DTD to conceive a baby) but it'll also give you a greater coverage for if you ovulate earlier/later than expected. You could potentially do it every day when you're predicted to be ovulating, but every other day should be plenty.

The only other bit of advice I would give is that you should try to focus on your relationship and yourself whilst TTC. It really is true that your life tends to change completely once you've had a baby. Now is a great time to spend lots of time together as a couple, sleep in when you can, focus on your hobbies etc.

I second DTD every other day - the month we switched from tracking ovulation and timing DTD around that to doing it every other day we fell pregnant (I'm now 22 weeks along)! Turns out despite tracking temperature and using OPKs I was actually ovulating earlier than I thought and some months we were missing it completely! Start the day after your period ends and DTD every other day for 2 weeks (if you have a 28ish cycle) and you're bound to catch it 😊 Plus every other day is so much more enjoyable and sustainable, and it's way less stressful than tracking ovulation.
