Chemical pregnancy!?

Hi,

I've had a TFMR in February this year, followed by a MVA for retained product of conception on 18th April. I had negative pregnancy tests around a week after this.
I am certain I ovulated on 14th May, we had unprotected sex the night before.
A good week later I started noticing pregnancy symptoms (nausea, tiredness and very sensitive teeth) so I took a FRER which came up with a faint line at 8dpo. Shock. I tested again the next morning with FMU and again, faint line. Over the course of the next few days I have tested twice a day to check FMU and also later in the day as my FRERs usually come up stronger in the afternoon. They've all been very faint. Occasionally there was a little stronger line and now they're just really faint again. I took a digital weeks indicator yesterday which showed not pregnant after a 25 miu test I got at the hospital a while back gave me a faint line.
It's been a week and there's not been any progression.... my period was due yesterday, I haven't got any hope for a viable pregnancy and I just want my period and move on... how long did it take for you to get your period to end the chemical pregnancy?
I'm just so lost again...

... and to add - the symptoms were quite full on and have kind of disappeared after 3ish days. Just lots of cramping still.

I hope it’s not the outcome but it does sound like it. I had a miscarriage on the 23rd April. Ovulated 11th may and at 10dpo hot my faint positive . 11dpo I got pregnant on a digital but manuals where still faint and not getting darker by 14dpo. Tried a digital again and it was negative :( started bleeding 2 days later. So it sounds similar to my chemical. It’s my second one the year before and after the mc

Saw this post and think i am in similar position Sad miscarried on 21st April, bled for two and a half weeks and have been getting faint positives for a week now with no progression. I called the hospital today and they advised me to wait another week to test (easier said than done) but i just feel something's not quite right given the lines aren't darkening.

NoCallerID · 28/05/2020 11:12

@PinkRoses20 how far along were you in your miscarries pregnancy?

@2020wish thanks... it's just shit isn't it...

PinkRoses20 · 28/05/2020 11:22

@NoCallerID i was about 11 weeks when they confirmed growth had stopped at 7 and a half.

NoCallerID · 28/05/2020 11:35

@PinkRoses20 since you were further along it might be from the miscarried pregnancy. Or do you know whether you have definitely ovulated since then?

PinkRoses20 · 28/05/2020 11:45

@NoCallerID i have no idea if i ovulated but could possibly be as we have DTD since bleeding stopped. Although now thinking it may have been best not to as my heads all over the place with it now not knowing. I imagine you will be the same Sad

NoCallerID · 28/05/2020 13:26

@PinkRoses20 yes, it's just crap not knowing... had you tested negative at any point after your miscarriage? I had been told to keep testing and if it was still positive after a certain time to contact EPU again.
I'll just have to wait and see now. I wish I could fast forward a few weeks so at least I knew either way, I'm just not patient at all.

Yes but only on a morrisons one so now wishing i had used a clear blue as that's what's showing positive just now. If the line doesn't get stronger in two weeks i have been told to phone them back and hope they will take me in to check. I am the same, no patience at all hence all the testing but now just want to know one way or the other. Then can focus on moving forward. Hopefully we will get our confirmation soon. I would maybe give them a ring anyway.

NoCallerID · 28/05/2020 13:53

@PinkRoses20
I'll wait to call EPU... there's no point at the moment other than me wanting to know so it just doesn't justify it for me. I really hope we both know soon!

@PinkRoses20 have you done a FRER at all?

OP posts:
PinkRoses20 · 28/05/2020 14:07

No but i have ordered some. I'm anxious to do another brand test incase it messes with my head even more. Going to really try and hold off doing another test until after the weekend.

thebearwentoverthebumble · 28/05/2020 14:10

Hi I'm sorry you are going through this.
I'm going through similar. I got a faint line a week and a half ago and the next day got quite heavy bleeding. I'm still getting positive tests but I heard that's normal.
I'm confused though I thought a chemical pregnancy ended after the bleeding? You havnt had any bleeding so you might be okay 🙂

PinkRoses20 · 28/05/2020 15:52

So i have started bleeding this afternoon. Phoned pregnancy unit and they advised to take a test after the bleeding stops. I'm hoping this will mean i can have a fresh start in trying again.

NoCallerID · 29/05/2020 06:33

Ahhh @PinkRoses20 I'm so sorry... I started when I went to bed a little and when I woke up to a lot more. At least we know where we're at now. Sending love!

@thebearwentoverthebumble Sorry you're going through similar. Are your tests just as strong or stronger? That would be a good sign I guess but no one would be able to tell you unless you went for a scan in a couple of weeks? It does take a while for the HCG to drop though. Hope we all get our BFPs soon!
