Am I having a chemical?

Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.

I have been having faint positive pregnancy tests since a Friday night across various brands. The lines all have colour and are visible easily but they aren't strong blinders. However, clear blue (the one with the cross) has come back much stronger this morning (the only brand to have a line progress so significantly over the past day).

Anyway, I was due my period yesterday on cycle day 27. I'm not entirely sure when I ovulated but I got a positive OPK on cycle day 13 & 14. I started spotting yesterday very pale pink and watery so I presumed it was my period coming and I am having a chemical. However, today has not progressed into a full period more like a very light bleed some brown and red. Usually I spot for one day then the first full day of my period fills up a tampon within 3 hours but today it hasn't been like that. I have had the period/crampy feeling on and off not consistently.

Has anyone every experienced a chemical before? I'm not sure what to expect? Dr Google is no help and basically half my answers are chemical and the other half implantation bleeding, which I didn't realise you can get the day you are due to start AF. It's all very confusing and frustrating, I just want to know either way...

It sounds like implantation bleeding to me! Keep fingers crossed and be positive. So easy for me to say I know. Xxxx keep us updated xxxx

Thanks @WineLover1234 I just don't wanna get my hopes up as all the tests aside from clear blue haven't progressed with a darker line the past 36 hours so that's what's worrying me! I suppose it's still not been that long so hopefully tomorrow morning should show better lines. If not I'm preparing myself for a chemical xx

@Leasha16 I totally understand why you don't want to get your hopes up! Take another test tomorrow if you've got one and let me know how you get on! 🤞💜🤞💜

Ps try and stay off Google! I'm the worst person for it and it doesn't help the worrying bit. Google is always my go to when it shouldn't be! 🙄❤️

I'm right there with you. Had very faint positives across 3 brands since Friday afternoon. Ran out of my more sensitive tests and am testing with an Internet cheapie (25 miu) and barely getting a shadow of a line. Still have all my symptoms. I've never been pregnant before.

@Leasha16 I've had 2 chemicals. Both times I felt v sick from day 24 and had pinky brown discharge. With the first the discharge got worse and by day 30 was the worst bleeding I've ever experienced. With the second the bleeding was much lighter and started on day 28. I really hope it's good news for you Flowers

@CurbsideProphet thank you for your feedback. Can I ask, what were your pregnancy tests like? When did they begin to show as negative? Also, what did you do? I know I need to call the doctors in the morning but I'm hoping I get bloods done this week. I don't think I can wait this out much longer I just want to know

I did a pink first response that was positive. I didn't bother to do another after the bleeding. With the first I saw a male GP who was a bit dismissive, so I went back to see a female GP a few days later. By then the bleeding and nausea had stopped. I had awful cramps for over a week. I saw her again after the second. With both she tested my wee there and then just to check.
I felt it best to see or speak to a GP, as then it would be on my medical record that this had happened.

It's such a crap thing to happen. I hope you're just one of those women who has some bleeding. If you search mumsnet there are women for whom bleeding through pregnancy was normal. There are also lots of women who have chemical pregnancies. Hopefully it might be some comfort to know you aren't alone Flowers

Hey I'm in the same boat. I got a VERY faint positive this morning, I think I'm around 11dpo. But a few hours later I started bleeding, pink watery discharge with some bits in and terrible cramps that are worse than my usual period. I also had some brown spotting 2 days ago. I'm thinking it could be a chemical pregnancy too but also want to keep the hope that it might not be! I guess I'll just have to wait it out and test again in a few days time.
