Two positive OPKs!?

Help!

I was expecting to ovulate on Friday.
Thursday night after loads of water - faint line
Friday morning - positive OPK
Sunday morning - positive OPK

Do you think this might be detecting a pregnancy instead? Suddenly struck me today that during my last pregnancy I bled every month for the first three months. Now wondering if my last “period” wasn’t a period at all...

This morning's test (assuming it's the bottom) isn't a positive. The darker test line will just be catching the surge on its way back down.
The middle test isn't entirely positive either but I know for some people that's the darkest they ever go.

If you did get two positives then it could just mean your body was about to ovulate but it didn’t happen and then your body tried again but as PP said the last one isn’t positive. The line test line is supposed to be as dark as the control line.

I took a picture whilst it was still wet because I could see it was dark - for me, this is as dark as they ever go. Hopefully you can see it more clearly here. These would both be marked down as ‘positive’ for me (I.e., they never get darker!).

OP like I said if they are positive it could be that your body tried to ovulate and didn’t been tried again so the second one would be more reliable if you think it’s as “positive” as the first.

Thanks @somebunny - we posted at the same time so I missed your reply, apologies. Yes perhaps that’s it - I didn’t realise that could happen!? The idea of more shagging isn’t ideal to be honest Grin

Haha you should have posted the second photo first! I now change my answer and say yes the first could have been a "failed" surge and you may now ovulate in the next 24 hours give or take. No way of knowing unless you are temping too. If you think you ovulated the other day then an opk wouldn't be positive this soon due to pregnancy, you'd be looking at at least 10 days post ovulation for that to happen imo.

SomeBunnyovertheRainbow · 24/05/2020 09:53

That’s ok. Yeah I’ve read on other TTC threads that that can happen if your body doesn’t manage to ovulate it tries again. I’m no expert though.

Maybe try once more but you don’t have to dtd on the day if ov to get a BFP Grin

EmbarrassingMama · 24/05/2020 10:00

Ha! Thanks both. Yes, too keen to post or what? I should have waited (story of my life).

Okay, I think I’ll assume ov is still to come. We DTD last night, maybe we’ll try again tonight if my toddler doesn’t knacker me today... Grin

TTC when you have a toddler is tiring! And makes tracking ovulation all the more important. Bet you were relieved fertile week was over until now 🙈 go on, muster up the energy for one more go 😆 good luck OP!

I really was (sad but true!) x
