Two Uteruses/Uteri (?)

Hi,

I tried to find the answer elsewhere but have not been able to!

If you have two uteruses, could they have different cycles? I.e. could the periods for them happen at different times?

Also could you be pregnant in one and be having a period in the other?

Thanks xo

HI there I have a double uterus and get what seems as one heavy period. I didn't find out I had double until I got pregnant with my daughter five years ago. my doc said I could get pregnant while I was pregnant so that was a little scary. trying for my second now.

I don’t think you could have different cycles as it’s all regulated by hormones? So you could have two periods at the same time . You could possibly be pregnant in one but not the other though . I think there was a case where a woman was pregnant with two babies at two different gestations so further on in one than the other

No they couldn’t be on different cycles 👍

Menstruation and pregnancy are controlled by hormones travelling in the blood which act throughout the body all at once. So whatever the current hormone situation is, it will be acting on both sides at the same time 👍

@FlashesOfRage thank you for clearing that up! I thought that but couldn't really find confirmation anywhere
