TTC after MC - June 2020

I'm 31 TTC #1 after a MC in March this year, AF has just finished and I'm on CD6 and all ready to go for my 2nd full cycle.

This month I will be tracking with opks, CB connected, BBT and following SMEP plan.

Thank you for your messages. I'm ok, I think. I've had a little cry. Dusted myself off. Hoping this leaves me less likely to test early next month.
I'm back in that annoying state of limbo whereby I don't want af to show, but equally, desperate for it to so that we can have another go.
Trying to find comfort in the fact that I believe it was the first cycle post mc that I ov'd, and it took us 4 month to catch last time so perhaps I was being a little over optimistic.

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah , laughing at even the neighbours cat is pregnant. I dread pregnancy announcements. Hubs told me a colleague at work is pregnant and even just him saying the word made my heart drop to my stomach.

@MichT4 my fella got his off a pharmaceutical site after loads of researching it but you know what he has only had two doses and he said he feels he had more energy and more ‘in the mood’ and sorry tmi but he feels his junk felt bigger and more swimmers 😂 this month I took a different approach and didn’t tell him we were going into fertile week and I had planned on now timing DTD so I was happily going to sleep last night and it was him asking when our fertile week was and could we at least practice for it although he was pretty excited to hear it started already haha made me feel better to that he wants this as much as me. He believes he is at fault on the miscarriages as he after his last child with his ex 8 years ago he started getting big into the gym and in turn took test for years and that’s known to affect male fertility. He has been off it 1.5 years nearly but hcg is usually the treatment for men in that aspect so hoping this helps us

Outside waiting on getting my second lot of bloods taken. Please send good vibes. My vascular access is really poor and they always have to get other nurses/doctors to try and most appointments I have to go back next day as they failed first day.

First time using opk since Mc. I'm exactly 14days from the start of my bleed . I'm using the feel your cervix method and nothing else. I noticed a change in cervix position ,discharge consistency and slight cramps roughly 3 days.

Looks positive to me !

We are trying to work on the assumption that it's a numbers game - just got to get the right egg - but of course I worry it's not just that and that it'll never happen. Each time I worry I wont get pregnant again, and that if I do something will be wrong etc etc. Any pregnancy now just feels like an endurance test!

But we've decided there's nothing else we can do right now but keep trying, so that's what we're doing. It's all consuming though isn't it!

@2020wish 😂😂 that made me laugh! It’s good to hear it’s working for your OH. It helps so much when they are on board. In the first month ish after the MC I kind of hid how much I was trying to put into it as I didn’t want him to freak out. But actually, he’s on board and I love that it doesn’t feel like a chore. I bet him being like that will make your fertile week and TWW go much faster and be much more relaxed.
Strange you say about the stuff he’s taking though - is it a tablet? My OH started taking a supplement a few months ago, before we were TTC and he turned into some kind of sex addict 😂😂 he was like a dog on heat! It’s a natural thing for training and I wonder now if it’s something along those lines. I gave him a hard time about it because I was worried it might hinder our chances (it’s definitely not a steroid/test of any kind) but now I wonder if it might help 🤔

I have managed to dtd twice not really been in the mood. Like you emotions are just up and down never thought I would have bk 2 bk Mc. On the plus side I have learnt more about my body and ovulation which saved me doing opks.

How are you doing.Any update on the blood test

@MichT4 this would of been a steroid he was taking and he made him have a really high sex drive but unfortunately affected his sperm regardless of his drive. Once he stopped taking it his sex drive completely disappeared and his day to day energy. But he’s noticed this week he’s feelings good again. Could be concidence but here’s hoping. Google what it is ur fella is taking and see what the side effects are?

@DBTJ I know how you feel. I get so down thinking to how I’ve been pregnant 3 time’s this year and lost them back to back. It’s a empty feeling I can’t describe. I’m so confused as I carried my daughter fine 10 years ago. On the pill.. young and dumb drinking and partying(stopped once I found out of course). Took no vitamins only folic acid but this time round taking and doing everything right and they just miscarry :( starting to really lose hope myself. Like you I know my cycle so well know and have saved loads of opks. Bloods went well today! Got them first go. So fingers crossed the results come back before I enter my TWW

It is all so overwhelming. My best friend also said the other day 'just keep positive and try not to think about it' I just agreed so I could change the conversation. I know she was trying to be kind, but she has never tried for a baby and they don't want to try until end of next year so, she really doesn't understand. I felt so frustrated at her which I then felt guilty about.

@2020wish I hope the blood tests all went okay for you today and it wasn't too traumatic trying to get some access! I am so interested in this HCG stuff, but don't think I could ever convince my partner to try it. How much is it etc?

I’m intrigued about it too, though I’m pretty sure his levels are ok. @2020wish he looked up the side effects before and they seemed fine, I was just in one of my moods where I told him he was being careless 😂. But I actually think they might be a boost if anything. Even so, I’m going to get him to show me so I can have a woman look, instead of the notorious man look.

I get wound up with the ‘just relax and stop thinking about it and it’ll happen’, as if you can just switch off thinking about it. Stupidity 😂

I’m wanting to give everyone a little bit of hope 🌈 I’ve been on the ttc after mc threads since Jan and I always found it helpful hearing people’s good outcomes!

Well... I got my BFP today 💛 after a natural mc in May 2019 and an ectopic in October 2019 where I lost my tube as well I finally got the BFP!!

I’m so happy but so nervous 🤞 due on my wedding anniversary ❤️

I’m wishing you all loads and loads of luck and baby dust and hopefully this news will give you a bit of hope that it will happen!

I did lots of things different this cycle, I took extra iron and vit C tabs and a Bcomplex (To extend my LP) on top of my seven seas ttc multi vit.

How is everyone doing have u had ur peak yet @renna and when will everyone be testing so i can get excited.

Im feeling very nauseous today but said i wouldn't moan but i forgot what this felt like and its like car sickness all day long 🤢 xx

I think my peak is on or around Monday going by my app.. but then last month I ovulated on CD19 which would be next Friday. Hopefully testing around the 22/23rd.

@Hayleylou89 it’s hard not to complain when you feel so rough- I liken it to being hungover but travel sickness is pretty accurate too!

I think I might have ovulated late last night. I got my peak at 5pm that was the only test I did yesterday then later on at night I started getting lots of niggling pains on my left side which is very unusual for me as it is always the right side I get pain around ovulation. When I got up this morning the pains had all but gone. Is this quite normal to ovulate so quickly after your peak?

I'm currently in that boring first week of TWW when you know it's too early for any signs or to test and there is nothing much else you can do apart from eat pineapple and sesame seeds 😂 good luck to those approaching ovulation xx
