TTC after MC - June 2020

I'm 31 TTC #1 after a MC in March this year, AF has just finished and I'm on CD6 and all ready to go for my 2nd full cycle.

This month I will be tracking with opks, CB connected, BBT and following SMEP plan.

@MummyMilla Of course you are more than welcome to join😊 I'm so sorry for your losses, I've had one MMC during the lockdown too, but I cannot even begin to imagine how you must feel having to experience two during this already awful period. Hope you are doing okay and that you find this thread helpful and healing ❤️

A lot of us are trying a lot of things! Haha😂 Aside from the CB sticks, I'm doing cheapie OPKs as well because last month I didn't catch my peak on the CB sticks and it drove me crazy. I'm also tracking bbt to confirm ovulation, going to try grapefruit juice to improve CM and then I'm probably going to do Calc Fluor during the tww. Oh and I've also been taking prenatals for months now.

I feel far from pregnant 😂 I feel nothing actually😂 So my Femometer app said I should start testing last Friday, and I've gotten bfn's. But I've only just started using the Femometer app, so it doesn't have a lot of data and so predictions aren't really accurate. And then my fertility friend app says that I should only test on 6 June, which is when it has predicted that AF will start. But that's also not making any sense to me, because surely if I'm 14/15dpo then I would get a positive by now if I was pregnant. Unless I've ovulated later than the apps have predicted. Either way I'm just going to wait for AF to arrive instead of testing every few hours 😂 all the stores here are open so I could go out and get a test, but I think I'm just going to stay out because I feel like it's just going to end up in disappointment.

@MummyMilla oh yes, I second @2020wish suggestion on the preseed! Definitely using that again this month

Can I join too? I'm 39 (40 this year 😫). I have a nearly 5 year old girl, and a little boy who devastatingly died last March at 18 months.

We started TTC again in June last year. In November I was 10 weeks but had to end the pregnancy due to a fatal cystic hygroma. Took ages for cycle to return but got pregnant again in Feb, then miscarried naturally at 8 weeks in April. Obviously very concerned it's never going to happen but back on the TTC bandwagon, currently CD18.

Helps to know I'm not the only one obsessed with anything fertility and pregnancy related!

@HopeForRainbowbaby I didn't track the first two cycles post-MC but they were super short anyway so I don't think I ovulated (?) just a guess. But, the ones I have tracked are longer than I have had before so I am still settling down. I think it's normal considering what has happened.

@Rainbowhope11 definitely get them, I really like the femometer things. Love my themometer too!

@MichT4 I have gone to Tesco twice with the aim of getting grapefruit juice and I have forgotten 😩😩😩 need to go again!

@Hayleylou89 I hope you get a new time on the same day or the other meeting can be re-scheduled?

@2020wish I got back a normal result for my thyroid test too. Glad you're all okay though x I can't believe how none of the dept notify each other of these things! It can be so emotional to get that letter or phone call.

Hi everyone hope you are all well. Been quiet the last couple of days just been busy with work, enjoying the sun and getting my head round going back into school next week.
Cycle day 15 and got my positive opk 😀 and both my apps say I'm due to ovulate tomorrow so that's quite good that it matches up. Plus it's my wedding anniversary tomorrow so going to take this as a wee lucky sign.

@MummyMilla welcome to the group❤️ I am so sorry you have suffered two losses so quickly. Hopefully we can be supportive and get you through the rest of your TTC journey. Looks like you're set. I echo what the other girls have said with pre seed.

I am on CD4, this month I am following SMEP, using pre seed with the ferti-lily cup and will try Calc Flor in the TWW and grapefruit juice (if I ever remember to buy it) pre ovulation.

@ManchNic my heart hurts for you, I am so incredibly sorry you lost your little boy. There are no words and then to suffer a further two losses. You are incredibly strong. Sending you so much love and hope for you to have a healthy pregnancy soon. I hope we can be a source of comfort and support ❤️

@VP91x hey lovely how are you? I'm all good, work has been so busy no time to think during the day, only 4dpo but feel so many less twinges than last month, no idea what that means but just trying to stay positive until at least after the weekend xx

@VP91x I’m not surprised you forget it, it’s not like going in for a bar of dairy milk! It’s just another tick to make me think I’m not missing anything. Although sometimes I think back to when I conceived before and I wasn’t doing anything. Sod’s law!

@2020wish sorry you’ve had a rough few days. I’ve seen your messages and so sorry you are here again. I hope the tests give you some answers and give some solutions. Pamper yourself tonight, or better still get OH to do it 💕

@HopeForRainbowbaby my cycles seemed to back to normal quite quickly, but I have long cycles at the moment (about 34 days!) and I don’t know how normal that is because I was not long off the pill so my cycles were still working their way down in length. My AF symptoms have changed since the MC though - and annoyingly are nausea and sore boobs, never had them before really - has given me false hope both months so this time I’m going to ignore anything until I know either way (she says!). I think a MC must really throw things out of sync for a while

@SmileyT how many do you take? I got some and the bottle says 4 but that seems extreme.

Also girls, opinions on preseed? I’ve never used it - what’s it supposed to do?

@SmileyT I'm glad you are doing okay. Don't stress over not getting as many twinges. It might even be the best sign. How are your temps etc? At least work is keeping you busy.

@MichT4 haha yeah, but I end up with all sorts of other stuff. I'll set a reminder and go again tomorrow. Pre-seed is like a sperm friendly lube. It is meant to mimic fertile CM to help them swim up. I suppose if you get loads of fertile CM anyway it doesn't make a difference but I don't always get loads. I liked it! A little goes a long way.

@HE88 I started taking them day after positive but apparently you can take them all through cycle, I've been taking like 10 a day 😬 but somebody said you should just take 2.

@MichT4 which calc flour are you taking mine are really small so take a lot, ive used preseed but actually only used it once this cycle x

@VP91x temp spiked yesterday but fallen today definitely more erratic this month but hopefully clearer after the weekend aswell x

@HE88 haha oh yeah, well I've been trying to diet and they taste a bit like mini marshmallows so I keep popping them in, hope you can't OD on them and it'll just help with my teeth and hair aswell x

@SmileyT oh that's good to know they taste like marshmallows. I don't imagine you can if you can take max 24 a day plus like you say will be good for your teeth and hair. Xx

@VP91x I think I’ll leave the preseed. We are usually ok, and I think that might send him over the edge on top of all these other purchases. Although he did tell me to put my legs in the air after DTD the other day 😂😂 I didn’t want to tell him it wasn’t in the fertile window as I thought that was pretty sweet he was thinking about it. Bless him, don’t think I give him enough credit sometimes about him wanting it too
