Is anyone else going through this right now? I’m almost at the end of it, I think extraction might be Friday. I had a scan today and one due on Wednesday and then the trigger. I’m struggling today, my hormones are crazy and tonight I have cried for no reason at all. I appreciate from friends I am in the baby steps of fertility treatment but I’m finding it tough!

Hormones are crazy, my sympathies. Not had the egg collection thing done personally, but the pregnancy and post partum hormones are a wild ride, so you've got that to look forward to!

Here’s hoping one day! I’m also struggling with the whole ‘oh so and so had her eggs frozen’ like it’s a walk in the park. It’s far from
It!

Have had my eggs collected before but for someone else so perhaps i wasnt going bananas myself 😬 but i remember it not an effortless process and when you get to the end (well for you a beginning i hope) it can definitely get to you!!!

Sending hugs x

Like SunnySideUp, I've also donated eggs for someone else (a stranger, in my case) so I had absolutely no emotional attachment to the process but I STILL felt like I was going bananas! My emotions were just crazy. In fact, I am currently 31 weeks pregnant myself, and didn't feel anything similar in this pregnancy so I do wonder how much of it is purely down to the extra hormones they need to give you for the egg collection. It's all perfectly normal, I'm sure some women do sail through it, but many many others don't and you're certainly not an anomoly!

Hopefully you avoid it. Late third trimester I was literally sat there weeping to the Black Eyed Peas. "But where is the love????" Grin Like you say, I think they affect some worse than others. Good luck, OP.

I did ivf and it did feel quite nerve wrecking at the end. I'm not sure if it's the enormity of what we're doing or the massive amount of hormones that we take. I suspect both. I did feel better emotionally quite quickly after the collection, so you're almost there.
