Serious line eyes

I've already had a very clear BFN today (12dpo). I have resigned myself to the fact AF is coming as I have had a big drop in resting heart rate and have bad period pains but because I'm a POAS addict I took another test. It's come back with this. I'm not sure what to make of it. Im not getting my hopes up as the line(s) don't look like they're in the right place.

If I do some serious squinting, I'd like to think I can see a line...I'd wait a day or 2 and then do another,x

There is a line. But if you pulled the test apart and it’s dried it could be an evaporation line....

@kirinm hey Kirin, I can see something but very very faint, hopefully it is the beginning for you!!! Just be wary as I have had at least one one step a month where I have thought there may if been the faintest line x

Thanks all. There is another shadow of a line today but I think I'll leave it now and wait. AF due tomorrow.

I hadn't pulled a test apart, these are the cheap one step strips.

Thanks @anxiousannie I'm not trusting them as it could so easily be a shadow!

For anyone who googles and ends up here - this was negative. The shadows on these tests are really confusing.
