Positive and Negative test on same day!

Hello all, I’m new here and looking for some advice!

To give a bit of context -
I was due my period 09/05/20 and had bleeding for one day followed by a few days of very light brown spotting.

I assumed this was my period however, boobs felt bigger and frequently having to pee so I took a test on 12/05/20 and it was positive!

Took another test 16/05/20, again it was positive however, today I’ve taken two tests and one was negative, and one was positive!

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Feeling in a state of confusion - was the bleed a chemical pregnancy, or implantation bleeding? I’m not sure what to think and a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a faulty test?

Or different concentrations of HCG in your urine if you tested at different times in the day/different urine samples?

Or if the second test was a different brand maybe it had a different threshold for detecting HCG?

They were all Clearblue, the negative was my advanced fertility monitor test and the positive was the digital Clearblue. Tested again this morning and another positive, so not sure what to think.

Waiting on the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit getting in touch with me now. Thanks for your help. Hoping it’s a positive!

Blue dye tests are crap - FRER all the way

TBH I'd trust the Clearblue digital over the advanced fertility monitor, just because the former is only checking for one thing!

Hoping you get the news you're looking for from the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and that you just had an implantation bleed
