Hi all. Advice needed on went to take a test.

So I ovulated on CD23 this month. Today im CD31. My last 3 cycles have been 30 days, 30 days and 29 days last month so being CD31 today im technically late (I dont think AF will show up in the next 3 hours)

When is best to test? I know you usually say once AF is late but im technically late but still only 8dpo so im not sure when I should use a frer. Is it still too soon?
Ive had mild on and off cramps all day and occasionally yesterday. Ive been backwards n forwards all day to toilet thinking AF has arrived but it hasnt. Not sure if im just going to be longer this month or if its implantation. Its annoying me now, if AF is en route she needs to hurry up and get a move on!

I would wait 3 or 4 days!

It's a bit too soon yet, it takes 5 days for the fertilised egg to become a blastocyst and then a minimum of 5 more for implantation/releasing enough HCG to show on a FRER

I think it looks like your ovulation might have been late. CD23 would make 7/8 day LP which is very very short and there probably wouldn't be much chance of implantation. If you definitely ovulated on CD23 you can expect a cycle of around 35/36 ish days, depending on how long your LP usually is so you're technically not late yet at all. I'd give it until at least 10dpo to test.

@Lottie3093 that looks positive to me, and I'm terrible at seeing lines!!

I read through this thread as I have 28/29 day cycles, but I ovulated on CD19, so I was also wondering when to test. It's my first month using OPKs. I'm technically due AF tomorrow or Tuesday, but to me that feels too early to test (10/11DPO).

Can I ask what you used to test ovulation? That seems a lovely result for 8DPO!

Congratulations anyway!!

@bluebubbles12 thankyou! Its my 1st cycle using opks too. Ive been using the femometer opks and uploading them onto the app.
Im 9dpo today and looking at other peoples posts 9dpo and getting bfp happens a fair few times! Im not getting too excited just yet though as I had ruled myself for this month when I realised my leutal phase was probably about 6 or 7 days so im expecting a chemical pregnancy.
Will test again in a few days to be sure. Ive had 2 days of cramps like AF is coming so god knows whats going to happen!

I would maybe give it till tuesday to test, at least then you should have a clear result and know for if your positive for sure!
