TTC - negative test 3 days late

Trying for my second baby. I'm 3 days late and just did a test which came out negative.

With my last child I had the same negative test a couple days past due date but then a week later I had a positive test.

Has anyone found that with multiple pregnancies they produce less of hcg at the start so it took longer to get a positive result?

Feeling a bit down as it's almost a year of TTC Sad

Hello
I am in the same position as you. Currently 3 days late and all my tests are bfn.
Feeling crampy sore boobs, hunger, some food adversions and just generally under the weather.
All the signs are pointing to bfp but I'm just not getting that on my tests.
It's very frustrating.. just need to wait and test again in a few days.
My previous pregnancy (sadly ectopic) I had a bfp at 12dpo x

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice but I'm in the same boat as @BMWL. TTC my first but so I have no comparison but I tick all the same boxes and I just feel like I am! I'm just holding off retesting now for a little longer. I can't stand to see the negatives!

What I have read is that there's absolutely no reason why you can't still get a late positive like with your previous pregnancy. I guess every body and then every pregnancy is different. I've read about people only getting positives at 6 weeks pregnant so don't lose hope yet!

Out of curiosity, what tests do you trust the most/recommend when getting late positives? Do you still use an early response test?

@squishyroundtheedges
Thank you! I'm going to wait a week. I'm not usually late so maybe there is hope.

This time (and last time) I got negatives I used first response...
But I got my first positive a week past being due on with the clear blue digital (the one that shows you how far along you are :)) xx

@BMWL can you explain was 12dpo means please? I haven't posted on here before regarding contraception so I'm not down with the lingo lol!

@ImAwfulWithUsernames DPO means days post ovulation.
So for example; 12DPO - 12 days since ovulation.

Here are some others you might come across:
OPK: ovulation predictor kit
POAS: pee on a stick
AF: aunt flo
DS/DD: son/daughter
DTD: doing the deed

I was so confused when I first joined - didn't have a clue what any of those meant!x

@BMWL oooo okay thank you! So I am currently 16dpo I think with no period . Makes sense!!

In the same boat! I haven’t been tracking ovulation we are just seeing how things go. I found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy in January so I didn’t want to get into tracking it all just yet. Yesterday I tested.... stark white negative! Today I think I see something but not sure if it’s my mind playing tricks. Hoping you could have a look and tell me.... it’s only internet cheapies I’ve used. Any opinions are welcome 😊

Baby dust to you all xx
