Will one night of excess (alcohol and drugs) make a lot of difference when tv?

Hi all, this is my first post on here but I’ve read through a lot of encouraging stories for a while now on various topics.
I just wanted to ask a genuine question about cocaine when ttc, it’s not something either of us have done for a very long time and have no intention of doing again, but out of a build up of stress, boredom and general lock down jitters we had a night of booze and did some coke too the other night.
We have only been ttc a couple of months and I am now on cycle day 8, my question is - should we put a hold on ttc for this month if the drug is still in our systems? I have read a lot about potential for sperm to carry the drug with them into an egg, but have also read about women who have indulged well into early pregnancy without being aware they were pregnant and have perfectly healthy babies.
Just to reiterate, this was a one off for both of us and there is no way I’d take any again now. But have been left wondering.
Any help or knowledge on this would be great.

Not to sound snarky but if your idea of a boredom buster or de-stressing is to do coke, I’d be questioning if TTC is the right thing for you to be doing at this point.
With regards as to whether it’s still in your system, I don’t know how long it remains but I wouldn’t chance it this month just in case.

Thanks, I had hoped that from my message it was clear this isn’t a normal occurrence in the slightest. The question really was if anyone had any knowledge or experience of this kind of circumstance.

Well if you do drugs as your bored....probably best you don’t have dc to be honest. Not sure I’m bored, excuses drug use

Firstly question IF you can actually make a decent parent and I mean think hard about that question as a lot of parenting is boring too!

So if you're bored and under lockdown, how do you get the coke? Or did you have it about indoors?

I'm not sure about the coke I'm afraid op, but with alcohol I'm trying to only have a drink when on my period so I'm sure I'm not near ovulating (I'm on cycle 9 at the moment), which I figure is probably a sensible balance.

From what I've read online I think you'd probably be fine to carry on this month, especially given where you are in your cycle (this isn't any kind of medical advice of course!) However, if it were me I think I'd decide based on how much it would play on my mind. If it'll worry you then for your own peace of mind you could skip one month of trying. Im sure in the grand scheme of things skipping one month won't make any real difference.

You'll be fine, remnants of cocaine in your blood are not going to affect an embryo conceived after the cocaine was even taken. X

Well it's clearly not that much of an irregular occurrence if you had the cocaine in the house already!
Either that or you risked yourself by going to meet a drug dealer to get it. In which case you already had their number...or went out of your way to get it.

Either way, your OP may want to convince people that you're not a regular drug taker but you very clearly are.
