I didn't want to miss everyone's BFPs this week and our last bus is nearly full up so thought I'd jump over here.

Hi Ladies.

Can I take a seat on your bus? I'm hopefully carrying lots of baby dust for us all!

I'm TTC DC2, first cycle with no birth control (previous it was just condoms) and I'm CD 8 so hopefully going into ovulation time soon (around CD 13)

Been getting plenty practise in so fingers crossed it takes this first month!

MrsDh2019 · 16/05/2020 20:22

Think I might be joining the June bus ladies. Caved and took a FRER this evening and it has come up completely stark BFN. I know I’m still not due AF just yet (12 dpo today, AF due on Monday) so if she doesn’t show I will test again but if she does then I’ll be seeing you all over on the June bus thread! I do feel slightly over the jump now though considering the FRER couldn’t be any more negative; it’s kind of stopped me from second guessing like I was doing with the cheap strip tests with their annoying shadowy lines 😳 onto month #2 of TTC! May it bring us some BFPs we so very much deserve 🤞🏼 X

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 21:33

@DKDK123 I actually get so frustrated at the fact I was avoiding pregnancy using the 'withdrawal method' by trying to avoid sex around estimated ovulation when I concieved in Jan and now I'm like why isn't this happening FFS but I guess it's literally just a roll of the dice. Hope you get to enjoy some of your TWW and you get your BFP at the end ❤️

@OnNaturesCourse welcome 🙏 you may want to jump on the June bus aswell as I'm guessing you'll be testing in June now and a fair few of us are moving across June Bus - who's on board? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3899138-june-bus-who-s-on-board

@MrsDh2019 oh so sorry it was a BFN on your FRER but like you say at least you can focus on next month and stop worrying about the silly shadows x

Rosyposyrose

Hi ladies. We had been planning to start trying this month for our 2nd lo but I'm starting to worry about whether we should postpone with all the coronovirus stuff going on.

My husband says life has to go on but also understands my worry about hospital trips and giving birth in a pandemic.

I know it's a personal decision but am I being silly?

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2020 12:26

@Rosyposyrose this is a tough one as as you say it's personal preference. We're all carrying on because who knows when it'll happen? If u were to fall straight away then you wouldn't be giving birth until February so I'd hope by then, there'd be a bit more normalcy but who knows. If you're in no rush then wait a while longer, but don't put your life on hold for something that has no end in sight.

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 16:49

@Rosyposyrose hey lovely, I agree it's such a personal decision... for me after a MC at the beginning of lockdown I really wanted to try again. Both me and OH are key workers so not worried about job loss or anything and now that lockdown is calming and private scan clinics are back up and running I'm not too concerned. My friend is 32 weeks pregnant with a low risk pregnancy and has said there hasn't been too much change for her. If I had any underlying medical conditions I might feel differently though x

@notyetamumbuttrying @SmileyT hey ladies! Definitely AF yesterday and in full force today!

It's all good though, means a new cycle and time to try again. 🤞 June is our month! Are you ladies over on the June bus already?

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 18:22

@Noble89 yeah I jumped over to the June bus, feeling so bleurgh today my period is so heavy 😩 how you feeling? x

@Mich2020 can OH see it today or is he still holding out on digital? Is the line darker than yesterday? Very exciting times 🥳

OP posts:
Mich2020 · 17/05/2020 18:26

Still holding out for the digital 🙈🙈 yes seems to be darker than yesterday's xx

DKDK123 · 17/05/2020 18:38

@Rosyposyrose you're definitely not being silly it's a serious concern to think about. We've been trying for 9months but when things started to heat up with coronavirus we did consider whether to keep trying or stop. My first pregnancy was very difficult and they had me in and out of hospital like a yoyo so I was really concerned about having to go through all that again at a time when there's a high risk virus going on. In the end we decided that given falling pregnant right away hasnt been easy so if we stop now we could still be trying a year or two down the line and at 36 age is starting to go against me so we're going to keep trying despite all that's going on but it wasnt an easy decision either way, there were definite good grounds for both options and even now I do question at times if we're doing the right thing.
If only we all had a crystal ball to see into the future find out when this will all be over!

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2020 19:50

@Noble89 yeah on June bus now as started this morning as suspected! Hope June is our month, I really do!!

MrsDh2019 · 17/05/2020 21:37

@Rosyposyrose please try not to worry and take your DH approach of “life going on”. I work across all pre and post natal maternity care wards and I have literally just started trying for baby #2 so it hasn’t put me off and I’m walking around in full PPE all shift 😆💖 Ofcourse the care you will receive will still be to a high standard (albeit some appointments without your DH by your side) but you will be fine and totally put at ease 😊 in fact all the mums we’ve had discussions with have all said they don’t know what they were even worried about and actually post-natally they have all bonded a lot more with other New mums on the wards as they haven’t had their family members and fathers of the babies secluding them into their own little sections - it’s been actually quite a lovely experience. 😊 I hope you make the right decision for you whatever that may be and sending baby dust should you wish to continue with TTC #2 😊x

Tryingforourmissingpiece · 17/05/2020 22:46

Hi everyone! Bit late to the party but I hope it’s ok to join 😊 I will be 31 next month and other half is 36. We’ve been ‘trying’ for approx a year but only on a ‘we will see what happens’ sort of thing because I didn’t want to get crazy about it (😂). Trying properly since last month though and started tracking BBT since last period. Feeling frustrated today as I’m on cycle day 25 (usually between 30 and 36) with slight cramping but noticed that my predicted ovulation moved to 2 days later this morning to CD 22... which means we didn’t DTD on apparent ovulation day 😢 Hoping it will still be enough, but feeling a bit emotional about the possibility we will have to start again ☹️ Can’t look at a child without feeling a pang of sadness at the moment...Baby dust to all!

beautifuldream · 17/05/2020 22:55

Hi ladies,
I’ve been a little M.I.A.
Hope everyone is doing well. I got my BFP on Saturday 🙏 some baby dust did come my way, and so incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone in here for the support this month. I’ve attached my line progression. I had a CP last cycle and really over paranoid about darkening/doubling lines. What’s your take on these lines, I am so grateful right now but also can’t help but be so nervous....

May Bus Continued...
notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2020 23:13

They look great @beautifuldream! Best of luck 🍀
Welcome @Tryingforourmissingpiece! As long as you did it on lead up to ov, you're still in with a chance! 😊

MrsDh2019 · 17/05/2020 23:21

Thrilled for you @beautifuldream those lines look great! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy 😊x

Lmac2018 · 17/05/2020 23:42

Hello ladies is anyone available to listen to me rant a little about a few weird symptoms!?
This month I literally hadn't thought about pregnancy at all as I don't like to become too obssessed. Anyway, starting 2 days ago I had a VERY dry mouth to a point where you could hear it when I spoke, doctors have ruled out diabetes and they mentioned pregnancy... Anyway since then the dry mouth stopped after a day and a half but I cannot stop drinking I'm so bloody thirsty and the constant drinking is making me pee every 15 mins!
I've had headaches but I get them every month at some point in my cycle! No typical symptoms but that's about it for me this month I have 3 days till my period is due x

J0DI3 · 18/05/2020 04:45

Sorry I’ve been quiet ladies, I’ve been busy decorating over the weekend. So AF showed her ugly face last night at 23:00 just before bed which I’m kind of happy about, no more pregnancy tests for the first cycle getting BFNs and onto the next one. Although she has arrived very angry and 4 days late. It’s 04:45 and I’m up having a cup of tea and some paracetamol. Damn that witch 😂

SmileyT · 18/05/2020 06:21

Welcome @Tryingforourmissingpiece hoping this is your month, if you are having regular sex and had it in the lead up to CD22 and after then you still have a chance it only takes one swimmer 🤞

@beautifuldream Congratulations 🥳 I'm so happy for you and those lines look very strong, really hoping you have a healthy happy 9 months. I know after what you've been through it will be hard to relax but try and enjoy every precious moment xx

@Lmac2018 ahh fingers crossed that this is your month, will you test on Wednesday?

@J0DI3 sorry AF really got you yesterday but at least you can focus on next cycle, if your ovulation date was right last month then it puts your dpo before AF at around 16 days doesnt it? If so next month you can just add that to your expected ovulation date for your AF date, I think it's the worst thing feeling like we're late. Ahh hope that she isn't too aggressive today, I was in bed all of yesterday with mine 😩

beautifuldream · 18/05/2020 06:33

@notyetamumbuttrying @MrsDh2019 @SmileyT thank you so much for your kind words. I know it is so silly to think why I focus on feeling anxious instead of overwhelmingly happy but I guess that's just normal. Positive thoughts from now on. Thank you 🙏🏼🥰

SmileyT · 18/05/2020 07:16

@beautifuldream yes just remember that because something has happened before doesn't mean it will happen again and in 9 months when you're holding your baby none of it will matter. Sending you so much love and positive thoughts xx

OP posts:
J0DI3 · 18/05/2020 07:44

@SmileyT yes it’s showing on the app as 17days! But I have an OPK which I will start using this cycle for a bit more accuracy. So feeling positive actually and just glad I’m not waiting for AF anymore.

Have most people jumped onto the June bus now? Congratulations to all of you who had BFPs over the weekend that I missed! X

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2020 08:13

@J0DI3 yeah there's at least 3 of us over there now. Do you need the link?

DKDK123 · 18/05/2020 08:14

@beautifuldream congratulations I'm so happy for you!! I know not worrying is easier said than done, once you reached further along than you got with your last CP you might feel your able to relax and enjoy it a bit more x
