Two faint positives - second slightly fainter than first?

Hello all you lovely people!

It's my first TTC and after getting my period at the beginning of April, I think I started spotting early May (AF was a few days late). It was bright pink, mixed with a bit of light brown and only really appeared when I wiped (needed a pad for one day but hardly filled it).

Just this Sat I took a first response test and got a faint positive, then again today took another but it looks like it might be lighter. I've also had some light cramping in my left side today, and I'm worried it might be an ectopic pregnancy :-( Would appreciate any advice!
