Hi all I'm currently awaiting a scan to to confirm my miscarriage (chemical) at 6 weeks, light to medium bright red bleeding for 36 hours.

15 months ago I had a MMC at 12 weeks so if nothing else at least I know we can conceive naturally after the MMC.

Any way

Any success stories of BFP after miscarriages. Any advise, just totally looking for support and chat to stop me going crazy.

Miscarriages sadly are very very common. Especially apparent now you can know you are pregnant so early. You have to grieve for this loss and know that no two pregnancies are the same. I have had 2 miscarriages and 4 children

I've recently had a MMC and it's so so shit, really upsetting and hard. I'm really sorry for your loss and I understand. I know of friends who have had miscarriages before or between their DC and it makes me feel better to think of that. It does happen. A friend had the ERPC for her MMC and then on the exact same day the following year her lovely son was born ❤️.

Best of luck 🤞🌈

@Skybooks I had a MMC in January 2018. Tomorrow I'm having my beautiful baby girl by ECS. Miscarriages are unfortunately very common and I understand the knowledge of that doesn't offer any comfort during this extremely difficult time but try to stay positive and remember it doesn't mean you cannot have a successful pregnancy next time. Thanks

I think it’s luck of the draw in many cases, if you ask friends etc it’s pretty common to have a miscarriage before 8 weeks, I know in my circle of close friends pretty much all of us have been in this boat but we all have healthy children. I also know two people who had 2 children absolutely no problem getting pregnant or being pregnant but then when it came to their 3rd (without a big age gap so not age related) one miscarried at 12 weeks and the other at 16 weeks. Both got pregnant a month or 2 later and went on to have a healthy 3rd child no problems.

I think the fact you have a child already is a positive sign it means you can carry a baby to term. You have to bear in mind 20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage before 12 weeks, you’ve been very unlucky for it to happen twice. I’m not saying it isn’t awful when you are in the unlucky 20%, just that most people have healthy pregnancies afterwards.

So sorry to hear you're going through this, it's such a difficult time please take it as easy as you can ❤️

I miscarried at 6+4 at the start of March after 7 months TTC, and just 4 weeks later was shocked to see a second line appearing on a pregnancy test, I'm now 9 weeks and everything touch wood is going well this time. I hope will be a light at the end of this for you too xxx

Skybooks · 12/05/2020 13:53

@calipoppy thank you, I'm sat here with DS feeling very grateful for him but still so sad for what could have been.

@DontStandSoClose I know all you are saying and there is no logic or pattern. Thanks for replying

hello, hope you don’t mind me joining this thread.

i had a miscarriage 16 apr, bleeding was light at first then progressively got heavy. it lasted for about 2wks. my husband and i decided to TTC as soon as i got done bleeding, which i happened to pass EWCM the same say i stopped bleeding, so i thought i was ovulating. but somedays i still pass a bit of brown discharge throughout the day (sorry tmi) but unfortunately i have yet to get a BFN test Sad

i was told by my ob nurse that there was no way for me to get pregnant anytime soon, because i needed to wait for my next cycle and for my hcg to be 0. so far every answer i get from her is “you’re just going to have to wait. nothing you can do now” which i understand, but there’s nothing wrong with me hoping for a rainbow baby soon, right?
my levels:
16 apr -1630
19 apr - 2705
21 apr - 3533
23 apr - 2782
5 may - 584
12 may - 507

i’m wondering if anyone knows if it is even possible to conceive with hcg still in your system?

Skybooks · 13/05/2020 13:21

@yeeelhsa lots of people get pregnant in their first cycle after miscarriage so it is possible but I'm not sure how much it would need to drop by.

Good luck and sorry you are going through this too.
