Hi ladies!

I've been reading and been involved in a few posts now and saw a lot of BFP which is amazing!!

We've been TTC for 9 months now for baby #1 with no success whatsoever... I'm turning 32 this week, my partner 35 and tbh I think this month I'm even out already, I keep having LH fluctuations but no ovulation coming...

So I thought in the mean time I would love to know what have you been trying that worked for you! As I'm wondering if we just simply not doing it right xD So like, sex position, does it matter according to your experience? How many times do you do it? Is it necessary to do it every day? (Find it so tiring if I'm honest 🙊 not that young anymore 😂)

So yea any tips that worked for you, I'd love to hear your experience ladies! Smile

I’d welcome any tips too! Been trying for 3 months and nothing so any extra information or guidance would be great!

Thanks for starting @lilypad88 and good luck on your journey. xx

Not sure about sex position, but preseed lube has worked every time for us so far! Temping is also really good for learning when you'll be ovulating (I used Natural Cycles)... Good luck 🙂

lilypad88 · 11/05/2020 11:08

@MyGossip Thanks! Good luck to you too!

@pinkdressinggown Yes, I'm doing both! How do you use preseed if you don't mind me asking ^^ I just use it to help lubricate a bit but I saw the pipettes and haven't tried it yet, are you using these?

@lilypad88 I use the flat-headed syringes that you get with the lube. I don't think it would do a huge amount if you only use it like normal lube. It's supposed to provide an optimum environment to help the sperm swim to the egg, so it needs to be put internally.

Be warned though - it's not sexy putting in in, and I've been known to fanny fart during sex because of it 🙈 But hey, whatever works! I think you are meant to put about 3 ml in, but I find that a huge amount and usually only use about 2 ml (there are markings on the syringe).

lilypad88 · 11/05/2020 12:16

@pinkdressinggown haha well yea you got to do what you got to do! 😂 Yea, that's why I never really used them because of the unsexy side of it lol... But if it worked for you I might give it a real go then!

@lilypad88 I use it too but you can insert it up to 15 before BD so I just keep it in the bathroom. Nothing unsexy then as OH doesn't see it?

If you're not sure you're ovulating then ubiquinol and agnus castus might be a good idea in terms of supplements? The latter to regulate hormones and the former to improve egg health.

Have you downloaded an app to track your cycle? I found that helpful to know which days to focus on and aimed for at least every other day in the fertile window. Laying down with your butt in the air after to let gravity work. Last time I used the ear blue ovulation kit and tracked my basal temps in the morning. Haven't done that this time round. I've had a faint bfp this morning but not clear enough to say either way yet.

NannyPear · 11/05/2020 17:32

Digital clear blue ovulation tests, tracked bbt, conceive plus, pillow under bum for 10 minutes after DTD, sex every other day in lead up to positive opk plus on the day and the day after, and (TMI?) doggy style did it for us!

Sleepyquest · 11/05/2020 17:44

Definitely try preseed. Worked for us but in fairness I never tried without! No harm in giving it a go though. Think it was about a tenner on amazon

Lulubon · 11/05/2020 18:14

We used conceive plus. Maybe try that.. got pregnant within pretty much the first week of trying. I'm not sure if it was responsible or not but I've heard good things. You could also try some conception vitamins? X

lilypad88 · 11/05/2020 19:58

@Juno231 good idea!! 😅 mh, I'm suspecting having PCOS so Agnus Castus is not really recommended in my case, but a lot of good things about it though!

@Higgeldypiggeldy35 I think I've got all the apps 😂 I'm tracking bbt, ovulation, symptoms, everything I can, I became a little obsessed with it :s

@NannyPear so I've heard about this doggy style thing, but that's what I'm trying to find out if it really works!! My man doesn't really come in this position so that's why I'm a bit worried xD

@Sleepyquest yes, on it! I'll try with the syringe see if that makes any difference!

@Lulubon ah thanks for the suggestion, will defo look into it, I was actually looking at changing mine, I just have normal mutli vitamins, they aren't specific to fertility. Also taking folic acid and CoQ10

@Lulubon ah unless you were talking about the lubricant! I just saw that on Amazon ^^

@lilypad88 I'm in the exact same boat 💕 going into cycle 9 now and starting to wonder what we're doing wrong!

Can feel like it's taking years and years but I'm just trying to focus and stay positive.

Hope you're okay 🙂 xx

lilypad88 · 11/05/2020 22:36

@Elouera ah thanks! Haha yea we all want that BFP 😅

@HalfPenny28 aw thanks! I am doing better let say, the last few months have really difficult, and I was putting so much pressure on my partner, sex wasn't enjoyable anymore, really just fet like a duty but since last month, I'm really trying to stay positive and not stress as much about it and focusing on enjoy these moments with my partner rather than push it for it to happen 🤣 How has it been for you? What have you been trying?

StarWars222 · 11/05/2020 22:38

Have sex every day from about CD5 and use pregnancy lube!
