Hello,

I'm trying to help my sister understand her cycle and what these results mean. What do they say to you?

As a bit of background, she's been ttc for 8/9/10 years and nothing. Investigations show no obvious problems.

Thank you!

Hi! Sorry to hear your sister is struggling. That must be heartbreaking for her.

I love looking at people’s charts. Not an expert at all but I’d say she ovulated on CD20 as she had the LH surge the day before then a temperature rise the next day which has pretty much stayed high.

Your bbt usually rises the day after ovulation and (I believe) should be higher than the previous 6 days temps. Then once it’s stayed high for 3 days, ovulation is confirmed. However lots of things can skew the bbt and it has to be taken really consistently i.e. after at least 4 hours of sleep, taken at around the same time every day and if alcohol is consumed then that can throw it out too, also any kind of sickness.

I don’t use this app but I like Femometer and Fertility Friend. They will confirm when you’ve ovulated from the data you put in.

Hope that helps!
