Late, early symptoms, negative test

Hello everyone. I am sure someone may have already started a discussion about this, but I really need to talk about this. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 months.

Last week I started to feel unwell, a bad headache, nausea and butterfly feelings in my lower stomach. I have always had regular periods, however this month my period is now 4 days late. We were excited to take a pregnancy test, however, 4 tests down and still no positive.

Has anyone else experienced this and come out with a positive test eventually? Should I be concerned that there is another problem?

@lydia771 same here! I came off the pill in October and have had cycles of between 28-31 days but averaging 29 days. I'm now on day 34! I don't know what to do!

@KRK05 any sign today lovely? Have you started the CB tests? I'm only properly on CD1 and I'm already impatient to start the CB tests 😂

@KateColx FINALLY started tonight which I am over the moon about (sounds silly I know, first time I've ever wanted AF to come 🙈) so officially CD1 yay so see u over on the June bus 😜

Ok so I've been going crazy and looking back at previous cycles to try and make sense of this no show AF. This current cycle was my first cycle using CB ovulation.

The first pic is the cycle before when I didn't use cb ovulation and just OPKs. I definitely ovulated on cycle day 23, AFwas exactly 14 days later.

Second pic is when I was using CB ovulation this cycle, I had a static smiley on CD 23, flashing for 3 days before. But the OPKs are all negative for those days! I'm thinking the CB ovulation has been incorrect and I didn't LH peak or ovulate at all then.

I thought the CB was the most reliable thing? I read so much into it before committing £30 odd to purchasing it and it seemed amazing. I'm very confused.

@lydia771 I'm no OPK expert but I dont think CB would be wrong I'd me more wanting to believe that than the cheap OPKs. I can't see your pictures up close, did u test more than once on CD23? It could just be the One Step picking your surge up a little bit later than CB or your urine too diluted, not enough bladder hold. I would definitely believe CB as they dont give away those smiley faces easily (so I hear)

Thanks @KRK05 that makes sense. At what point would you call the doctor? Online says to wait for atleast 3 missed periods but bit more concerned if TTC about ectopic etc!

5 days late! Had a faint on tesco test, then heard they are awful for incorrect pos! I did A clear blue again faint faint faint but i fell asleep and so was out the time frame. I did a clear blue digi yesterday and was neg and i have just take a first response and have the faintest of faint lines!! I feel like i am going insane!!! Lol sorry not sure what to do now xx

@lydia771 So how late are u for AF? Yeah I think its only 3 months of missed ones the doctor will actually do anything, 1 seems normal though it's a lot more common than we think (it's never happened to me though) & why are u concerned about an Ectopic? Sorry if you've already says I cant find it on this thread X

@Wolfie20 Clearblue digis are less sensitive so find it takes longer to get pregnant on them but if you've had faint lines I'd wait 48 hours (hard I know) then test again. Try to stick to the same brand too as all the brands are different sensitivity so will show a bit different. Good luck 🤞🏻

Still no period here and still negative on tests... It’s driving me insane!! No more pregnancy tests in the house now either so considering going out later to pick a couple more up so I can test again in the morning!

@Little11 How late are u? Must be so frustrating, my AF was only 5 days late but I was just hoping every day it arrived so those 5 days were a drag (cause I knew I wasnt pg I had taken 3 tests) really hope u either get your BFP or AF 🤞🏻

5 days late now!! Boobs have been absolutely killing and was so convinced I would get BFP but now I just don’t know? Going to go out for more tests later so I can do in morning. OH thinks I am losing the plot haha

I was due on the 8th, i was convinced i was at the weekend with symptoms and then all seemed to stop. Ill retest at the weekend. God knows what my body is doing xx

@Little11 Aw bless u. Maybe try wait to atleast 7 days AF being late then youl know for sure then? Do u know when u ovulated? My boobs were killing me too, to the point I was nearly crying one night & I never get painful boobs as an AF symptom, I was never thinking I was pregnant though cause I had tested 1 day late & was BFN I just think all those typical AF symptoms were heightened cause I was late so was like I had to suffer it all, plus being late which is stressful cause in limbo but now finally got AF after 5 days late. I hope it's the opposite for u though & it's good symptoms & it's a BFP u get rather than AF 💛

@Wolfie20 So many of us being late atm, probably the stress of TTC 🙈 Fingers crossed its BFP at weekend though 🤞🏻

@Wolfie20 I feel the same about my body. I've never been late before and never usually get any AF symptoms, very rarely even get cramps. I've had sore boobs, nausea, and cramping. I have felt so pregnant. Trying to force myself to wait before testing is more painful than the 2 week wait to see if AF arrives!! I'm driving myself mad...and not much to distract myself at the moment.

@KRK05 i am hoping its not stress but who knows!!
Just so conflicting get faint positives but nothing stronger.

@bird22 its very frustrating, i just dont believe the tests at the moment as i am getting a mixture of faints and positives.

I work in maternity so if nothing by Thursday i am going to chat with our Dr xxx

Oh no! Sorry to hear that @Little11 I am sure i will be in the same position when I get the nerve to test again in a couple of days...if I can hold out that long!

@KRK05 6 days late now 😫 woke up at 4am with really bad nausea and dry mouth (kept me up till 6am and I was just lying there crying 😂) which has been on and off all day. Had some bad cramping but like ovulation pain not period pain. I don't have any OPKs (some arriving tomorrow) and my clearblue has been a circle every time I've checked the last few days. I never get nausea, we were driving to Tesco earlier and I had to hang out the window I felt that sick 🤢

I started temping BBT on Friday and it's getting higher each day but I have no idea what that means. Started at 36.5 Friday, this morning was 36.72.

I hate my body. Give me AF or a BFP not neither 😂😂😂😂

@lydia771 I have no clue on the temping cause I started temping the day my AF was supposed to arrive my lowest temp was 36.7 & highest the day before AF was 37.1 which all of them I thought was pretty high compared to other peoples charts 🤔 I forgot to set my alarm to temp this morning so I'm curious to see what tomorrows is now AF has arrived or maybe I just have those temps in general.

Just had some OPK's arrive so used one, 7 days late for AF - I've never had such a strong line on OPK it's always much lighter than the control line... just dipped my CB digi ovulation in the same sample and waiting to see what that says. So confused

@lydia771 Oh wow what a strong positive OPK! So glad u checked so u can get DTD tonight. Youl feel so much better knowing what's going on now, still weird no AF & ovulating now but least u didnt miss that blinding positive OPK 🥰

@KRK05 so strong! Had to do another as thought it must be faulty, this picture doesn't lie!

I get a bit lost with DTD best timings. Planning on tonight, tomorrow and day after. We last DTD night before last. Reckon this is the best plan for timings? I really want to catch this time as I've never seen it so strong before I think this may be my best chance 🥰
