Pregnant??

Hi ... very odd. My partner started bleeding around ovulation time just over a couple of weeks ago and has been bleeding (like period bleeding) ever since.

A pregnancy test yesterday showed Pregnant 2-3 weeks. She went to dr today who seemed downbeat and, in urine testing, declared it a faint positive.

We are guessing she may be miscarrying. But really we don't know.

Does anyone have any thoughts please? If so, gratefully received...

Hi yes she has. It's not normal at all.

If she's bleeding and you have a positive test then I'd get to an early pregnancy unit and have it checked.

Hi thanks for responding. She did go to a hospital today. She was urine-tested and dr said it was "faint positive" which I guess could mean she was pregnant but now it's fading?

I would test again in a few days, some women bleed and still go on to have a baby. I have everything crossed this is the case for you both 🙏🏻

All you can do is wait I'm afraid and then test again in eg three days time. Either the line gets stronger and she's just one of those ladies that bleeds when pregnant or the line will get fainter indicating a miscarriage and that the hcg is slowly leaving her body.

OK so we tested again today. It still says Pregnant 1-2 weeks. We are still thinking it may well have been a miscarriage. At the same time an ovulation stock has been showing "smiley face" for a couple of days too.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Gratefully received as ever.

@2bfather sounds a little strange imo. Has the bleeding stopped?

Not entirely. It comes back sporadically.

Has she seen her GP?

Ignore the OPK. They can show high LH when there's HCG in the body.
I would call the GP and arrange a blood test.

And I guess the HCG might still be in the after miscarrying potentially 10 days ago.

@2bfather very likely. It depends how high the HCG was, however it should be dropping quite quickly as it was early on.

I see what you mean. We had another positive pregnancy test this morning. It's hard to resist doing them. However I know we should wait a few days really.
