Please can I have a little bit of help with this - my DH and I are trying SMEP for the first time and I just don't see the line getting any stronger? (Ready for the big 3 days!!!) Has anyone had similar/got any advice? Sorry about the sideways photo!

With the cheap tests you need to test in the afternoon, so between 2pm and 10pm. My surge is short, so I tend to do 2/3 a day when the lines are darker and I manage to catch my positive. As you're doing smep, you're already dtd every other day so you'll still be in the window.

Good luck 🤞

How long are your cycles usually? If you aren't due to ovulate for another few days then it's normal not to see any progression with lines in the days leading up to it until a day or two before, or in some cases no obvious profession at all. Mine didn't really do the long gradual progression, just got darker one day before then I hit positive and it went back down.

Thanks @VenusStarr! Took your advice and tested this afternoon, definitely looks darker!

@NannyPear they used to be 28 days on the dot before we started TTC but now can be anywhere between 25 and 29 (I know that's not a lot of difference in the grand scheme of things!) OPK'ing in line with SMEP guidance so that's why I started doing it on CD9. First proper time tracking with OPK's after 7 cycles of no success!
