Hi all!

New to mumsnet but been following a few threads..

I’m after some help, I had a miscarriage on 13/03/2020 in first pregnancy and AF arrived 6 weeks after the MC. My OH and I decided to start TTC again once AF was done. I’m 1DPO now but I’ve noticed spotting the last couple of days, I want to assume this is ovulation spotting but I’ve never had it before and worried it’s linked to the miscarriage. I’m so worried and just want to feel myself again Confused

Thank you all for any advice!

Hi @dreaming97, so sorry to hear about your loss.

I have been ttc my first baby for quite a while and suffered a MMC in January; by far the worst experience of my life. I didn't have mid cycle spotting in the first cycle after miscarriage but I did have quite a bit of pain for a few days after ovulation, my abdomen was also quite swollen on one side. This settled down and has not happened again in the following two cycles.

Your body has been through a lot and it can take a while to get completely back to normal but that doesn't stop many people from conceiving. I find that my periods are slightly heavier now and I have period cramps (which I didn't have previously) but other than that it's all the emotional effects that are lingering.

So all in all I would say it's nothing to worry about and your body is just trying to settle down but if it continues or you are concerned you could always contact your doctor to double check. Take care.
