Thank you @Mumofboys17 x I'm not really sure what I want to ask lol x I know I want the tests for Downs etc done, other than that I'm really at a loss. Should I be telling her I've got a private scan this week, or do they tend to look down their nose at it because it's not NHS?
An hour?! Bloody hell x I was expecting having bloods done to check my levels to be honest, because if they're really low for where I'm supposedly at with pregnancy then it should be investigated.

@Katie1109 yeah that first appt takes forever 😂 DH came with me to that one as she asked questions about his family history too but I don't think it's the end of the world if you have to go alone (due to covid etc)
Our midwife was fine about us getting a private scan! We said we were going on holiday just after the 12 week mark and for my piece of mind I wanted one done before we went away else I'd have been stressing the whole time, she was like 'oh yeah totally understand', the NHS one was running behind anyway and didn't get it done til 14 weeks!!
Honestly, stop worrying 😊 easier said than done but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with your levels or your little squishy ❤️ get this week out the way then put your bloody feet up!!! 😂😘 xx

@Katie1109 Mine was around 45 minutes. No urine for me (but I think most do) but I got pots to take to my 12 week scan. I was supposed to get bloods but I'd had blood taken earlier in week and they'd struggled so my arms were a mess so I got extra bloods at 12 weeks. I also got height and weight taken and was given some vitamins to take.

There was a lot of questions on family history, such as diabetes in family, if my mum had had GD or preclampsia. any health issus etc. You get asked about DHs side as well, luckily mine was there as I would have been clueless so if he's not allowed to go it's a good idea to ask him or his side of the family for info before you go. They asked DH if he's been to prison and he stuttered as if he had, which was embarrassing ahaha. I was asked if I'd had a private scan, but I hadnt at that point - think it was more to know if twins or not and see how you're measuring.

Apart from that she talked about the downs screening, the blood tests and what pathway I was on. I'm red so I got told about consultant appointments etc and grown scans. I got sent away with leaflets about everything and a big NHS book thing.

I was terrified about going but the midwife was lovely and friendly, which was great. It will all be fine

@Mumofboys17 we've got our scan on Sunday with Window to the Womb and I should be 8 weeks so I am now madly googling images of 8 week pregnant ultrasounds and watching videos and photos, how sad is that! I just so really want everything to be ok, but cannot shake the feeling something is wrong and my gut feeling is quite often right about things!

@Katie1109 I'm good! I'm 20+2 today and my 20 week scan is on 28th, so got the nerves for that. Know what you mean on the early scan, I think I was 8+1 but measured 8+3, I just stared at the screen as I couldnt believe there was something there. Thankfully DH made all the right noises of excitment. A full bladder really helps for a clear scan on the day and it's totally understandable to be terrified. Chances are everything is great and you can celebrate afterwards and relax a little bit

Hi girls, thank you, I feel a lot better today. Everything just seems to be getting on top of me, and not really having an outlet during lockdown hasn't helped. Work has been a shitter since lockdown began, as it just hasn't let up, and now, because people are at home, they are using their spare time to lodge complaints... I am very good at my job so generally they are unfounded, but they still really knock your confidence! I literally just wanted to throw in the towel and find a new career - but that was likely my hormones making me dramatic 😂

Oh also, I got a really really faint line on my OPK today, CD6! Much more exciting than the clear blue ones 😂😂

@Catherinettc welcome!! pulling etc all sounds really positive so get busy! Remember you're most likely to conceive if you DTD in the 5 days leading up to ovulation so don't hold off until you think you're ovulating as you could be too late.

@Katie1109 I had bloods taken at the first MW appointment but I don't believe they check for HcG levels. I think they do things like check your blood type, if you have HIV, your iron levels and general blood count. They also wanted urine and did blood pressure and weight. Loads of questions!! They want last period day and they'll ask about any previous losses you've had. They'll also ask if you're a blood relation to your OH 😂 I also got asked if I'd thought about where I wanted to give birth (home, midwife unit or hospital) it's a 13 page form in total.

@LV1987 glad you're feeling a little better, lockdown has been so incredibly difficult without adding in TTC.

I had my 12 week scan on Monday and everything is looking good thankfully. We've started telling people now :)

@Fredthespider thanks hun x 13 pages?! Midwives must absolutely hate the booking appointments! How are you feeling? Cannot believe it's been 12 weeks for you already x So happy for you that everything is looking good x Would you mind sharing a photo with us? x

Ahhh @Quiffy @Fredthespider @katie1109 you guys it sounds so exciting!!! I really hope I get to start talking about these things soon 😭😭😭🤞 my sister has to go ivf route so she'll hopefully be pregnant within a month or 2 since she's going private I'm so excited for her!! I always aid from the beginning it would be amazing if we could get pregnant together... I really hope that could be a reality! She said she spoke to the fertility doctor who told me I should stop peeing on opks etc as the mental stress really affects the body 🤔🙄well easier said than done ay!

@Missgoldilocks everything crossed for you and sister. It would be so lovely to be pregnant together. The opk thing sounds sensible but in reality it's so hard not to use them! Or relax in general

@Katie1109 I’m feeling alright thanks! Now into the worst/best part IMO where it’s after the 12 week scan so you know things are ok, but you don’t really have a bump, can’t feel any movement yet and your sickness has faded so you spend the whole time worrying 😖 pics attached. 6+4 weeks vs 12+4 weeks! Such a ridiculous difference.

@fredthespider Ahhh such a cute date and just in time for Christmas - love the scan photos! I still cant believe how much of a little baby they look like at the 12 week scan. Even at 8 weeks, you could see they were a mini baby.

I'm due Oct 5th. Agree on the time between 12 and movement/20 week is hard. Definetely nice now I can feel them kick (although then you get the worry when you havent felt anything for a while). Constant worry until we pog our clogs 50 odd years down the line I suspect hehe.

@Quiffy it's true you never ever stop worrying! Serious craving to feel that little wriggle now 😍😭 I loved that, like DS was all mine and if I could have kept him safe in there forever then I would have! I realise that sounds a bit odd.. but, yeah 🤷🏼‍♀️ mum life😂

CD24 and I think 5dpo today for me. Not feeling positive as feel no different to any other month yet, not that I necessarily would 😂 but yeah haha x

Well I got a text from midwife this morning and she phoned me later instead of having face to face but it lasted only 10 minutes and she asked the very basics to send my info to the hospital and start the ball rolling x I’ve got bloods booked with her next week x now I’m anxiously waiting for my scan on Sunday x

Anyone on 2ww can tell me anything about cm and what I'm supposed to be looking for? I have very stringy/jelly like today (2 or 3 dpo) and feel quite wet 🤦‍♀️ sorry if tmi

i’m in need of some help so i had positive opks on saturday but i’ve had period like pain for last two days so i thought i’d take opks just to se if it showed anything to my surprise it was full blown positive it so confused taken as test to and that a bfn 🤯confused

@Mrslane2019 hey, I have no idea! Maybe wait a few days and test again? Could you be ovulating again?? Maybe dtd again just in case?? Then do a pregnancy test in a few days in case it's pregnancy x

@Mrslane2019 how many dpo are you? I hate to say I've had OPK's like that about 24hrs before AF has shown up 🙁 hope that's not the case for you though xx

@Catherinettc probs still a bit early to symptom spot yet, I tend to get white stringy discharge on and off til AF shows after FW if that helps? If it's more like egg whites that's fertile cm so I'd jump on your OH! X

@Missgoldilocks haha our last few cycles seem to have fallen close together haven't they! I'm still taking OPK's (to feed the POAS addiction) and noticed it's changing from start white to pink again on the test line. Naturally the crazy in me got all excited thinking it's a good sign 🤦🏼‍♀️
I've ordered some FRER's but did so deliberately knowing they won't be here til next week to avoid early testing 😂 Ovia says wait 8 more days so that's what I'll try and do! Xx

@Mrslane2019 best way!! 😂 secondary surges are a thing though! Something like if you didn't quite ovulate the first time your body tries again? I'm not explaining that Very well but hopefully you get the idea! X

@Mumofboys17 oh I can't handle it I lol after ovulation I just leave it alone! I don't even temp because I can't be assed anymore. So all these people saying to stop going the extra mile and it'll happen can do one because it hasn't and I've dropped off doing a lot of things these past couple of months 😂 I even skip days of vitamins god forbid haha. Only thing I have is sore nipples been like that from ovulation I normally only have one sore one but lucky me I got two 😂 I had minor cramps today and I was like preeeegnancy!? 😩 Put me in a straight jacket lol. How are you feeling? X

CD8 here, and finally period free 🍾 my last two AFs have been quite nasty, so I'm hoping that's because the pill is now properly out of my system and I ovulated for both of those nasty cycles 🤞
I started my OPKs way early for my long cycles because I felt like I needed to be doing SOMETHING... I'll join you in the straight jacket crew @missgoldilocks 😂
