Pre Seed

Hello ladies! So been reading alot of good reviews about Pre Seed and I wanted to ask if it really is worth buying? I read that it's really messy but if it really works it might be worth a try?

It will be cycle 3 TTC and just feeling so desperate to conceive 😫

I spent so much money on pregnancy and ovulation tests I can't really afford any unnecessary spending.

Thanks in advance xx

Hiya! I haven't got an answer for you so I apologise, I'm also ttc and this is first cycle after miscarriage, I'm in the tww at the moment..
I saw a lot of good reviews on preseed and thought 'why not'. I bought some off amazon, so if I get bad news over the next week then I'll start using it.

I'm the same as you and desperately just want to be pregnant (and keep it!) 🙄 so I'll try anything once 😂

RyanBergarasTeeth · 05/05/2020 02:23

Pre seed is very wet and mimics normal fertile fluids whereas normal lube is thicker and slows the sperm down. Ive got it and will hopefully use it next cycle. Good luck op.

Jane67996 · 05/05/2020 02:46

I got pregnant the first time I used it after almost a year of trying. I believe it is the reason I conceived. It works well if you don't have a lot of cervical mucus. Try it!

Peanut55 · 05/05/2020 02:48

Hey OP!

I was going to try this but before I did I decided to start taking pregnancy vitamins daily and DH took Wellman.

Within 4 weeks we conceived. Ended in MMC.

Then we tried again. 4 months no vitamins. Month 5, conceived when taking vitamins. I only used supermarkets own brand too.

Are you aware of when you ovulate?

Aaj04 · 05/05/2020 04:25

@sho2207 so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I really hope it works out for you! How are you feeling so far this cycle? Baby dust to you xx

@RyanBergarasTheeth we never use any lubes because its so sticky and it works just fine naturally. I think I will give it a go, ready to try anything atm 😅 I hope it works for you too! All the best x

@Jane67996 all the reviews I read said the same and I didnt wanna get my hopes too high 😂 im glad it worked for you! 💕

@Peanut55 hiya thanks for your reply! Sorry to hear about your MMC! Glad you conceived again 😊 I did use vitamins this cycle but still no luck, which brand did you use? I'm thinking of trying different ones. I only started using OPKs this cycle which helped tracking ovulation alot!

@Aaj04
Thank you!
I'm 9dpo and feel nothing, I've been having little sharp pains in my lower belly/pelvic area over the last couple days but I think that's just me symptom spotting.
I don't think I've been lucky enough to conceive straight after a mc 😩 but there's always next month. Just don't want to have to go through all the testing again 🤷🏻‍♀️

Where are you at with your cycle? Xx

GiraffeInScarf · 05/05/2020 11:26

Hi @Aaj04, we tried pre seed for the first time this cycle, can’t comment on success yet (3DPO) but I’m glad we’ve given it a go. From what I read, the normal pH of the vagina isn’t sperm friendly but EWCM helps raise it to help the swimmers stand a chance. Pre seed mimics this with the pH level so if you’re short of EWCM (or need some more from DTD so much 😂) it can help.
Our experience... it’s wetter than regular lube but didn’t find it messy. It’s not very romantic (you apply internally with an applicator), which we overcame by me doing it discretely just before DP got into bed - it would be a real mood killer to apply mid foreplay 🤣. I wouldn’t bother with it outside of fertile days, but would use it again next month if needed. It certainly doesn’t do any harm and probably made the last day or so of DTD more enjoyable for us at least.

Hope that helps, and good luck!

biscuit13 · 05/05/2020 11:34

@Aaj04 I used it from the start because I was desperate to conceive quickly.
First month only used it 'outside'.. and nothing.
Second month I just thought I'd go for it and we used it 'outside' and also I used the syringe things to put it 'inside' before we dtd. And we got pregnant that month. I do believe it helped because we actually only ended up dtd once in my fertile week (with preseed) and it worked. I'm 14 weeks now.
Good luck

I’ve been using conceive plus for a few months to no avail so I switched to preseed this month. It’s really not that messy, it’s runnier than conventional lubes (as is conceive plus) but using it internally with the applicator seems fine. Can’t comment on its effectiveness yet as I’m only 1DPO (on cycle #9) but I’d keep using it. Yes it’s expensive but I’m willing to try anything.
In terms of spending loads on ovulation and pregnancy tests, I recommend the cheap strip ovulation tests from amazon (about a fiver for 30) rather than clear blue. And (I know it’s hard) try to resist the urge to test before AF is due. I did this for many months and got sick of the heartbreak seeing a BFN and found it easier to wait for AF. If you do really want to test, get the cheap strips off amazon and just keep a few FRERs handy for when you really need them x

Aaj04 · 05/05/2020 15:32

@Sho2207 When I got pregnant with DS I had zero symptoms! I hope this is your lucky month 💕all the best
I'm now 13DPO but I had some spotting so thats AF soon 😫

@GirrafeinScarf I'm so glad its not messy that was putting me off! Thank you ill definitely give it a go!! And good luck to you! I hope it works out💕 xx

@biscuit13 that sounds very promising! Thank you and all the best with the rest of your pregnancy xx

@Nat4392 thank you! I will also give it a go next cycle and finger crossed for you this month!
I just read so many bad reviews about those cheap ones. The last thing I want after so many tries is a false positive 😫 but yeah it's definitely cost efficient. I went abit crazy with testing this cycle and used FRER daily. Lesson learnt im never doing this again 😂

@Aaj04 We only used about half an applicator, tbh I didn’t check what the instructions said but it seemed enough without being messy. We figured start with a bit less and increase the next time if needed!

Sho2207 · 05/05/2020 16:08

@Aaj04
I really hope it's just too early at the moment, but I've got a feeling I haven't been so lucky. I think it's because last time I had loads of spots so had a reason to test, I got my faint positive at 9dpo, I stupidly took a test this morning and it looks negative (think I'm visualising a VERY faint line). Will probably do another in a couple days time, if I don't have any faint line I'll just assume AF will be joining me soon.
Ooh dear, are you cramping at all? When's AF due?

Aaj04 · 05/05/2020 23:39

@Sho227 aww I know its so miserable getting a BFN but I hope that was a faint line you saw!

Yeah been cramping alot AF due on Thursday! I just want it start so it ends 😂

All the best to you 💕

@Aaj04
Yeah I get like that too, when I know for sure AF is on her way I just want her to hurry and get gone 😂 all the best for you too!💖
I'll probably test again tomorrow morning because I seem to be an addict 🙄😂
