Can anyone help - HSG show right tube 'occluded' and "delayed film shows contrast remaining with the right tube"

I've just had an HSG and although the uterine cavity and left fallopian tube get the thumbs up my right tube is apparently "occluded at the fimbrial end." The report then goes on to say "A delayed film shows contrast remaining within the right tube". Does anyone have a clue what this means? I'm trying to get a consultant appt. but in the meantime I am sitting here stewing, trying to work out whether it's hideous news or just bad news. Any info/words of experience would be great.

I don't think it's particularly bad news. They're saying the right tube is blocked at the ovary end, but you should ovulate from the left ovary sometimes, and this tube is clear. Hope you feel a bit better soon x

Thanks impatience - yes, I think you're right. If I think of it in positive terms (ie one's good, as opposed to one's bad) then I'm bound to feel a little less hut of gloomish than I do at the moment! I think it's also hard feeling so ignorant and in the hands of the experts - I'd love to feel completely versed in my options rather than so at a loss.

Oh yes, I wish the options for translators were available for doctor-speak to overwhelmed-patient-speak! Stay positive. One good tube is great news. Otherwise, see you in the hut!
